"I moved into my new house on Saturday and we quickly realized there was a major gas leak that had not been caught during inspection. It was freezing and Comfortemp was one of the only Nicor-recommended contractors that answered on a Saturday afternoon to come fix my issue so we could turn the gas back on. They quickly came out, temporarily fixed the emergency issue, and then came back later this week to complete the repairs. Both technicians I worked with were friendly and explained everything they found and did very well. Thank you for resolving the issues on an already stressful weekend! "Update: Tim was just here to service my A/C unit under warranty (parts and labor). No one ever instructed me to clean the AC unit when they installed it and I guess I was just supposed to magically know this. After the unit went out yesterday and the service was scheduled for today, I did some googling and found out that it being dirty may cause it to stop working. I checked it and it was in-fact, dirty. I removed the covers and vacuumed the unit but it did not fix the issue. When Tim got here today I explained what I had found and that I cleaned it to help him diagnose the issue (more info is always good when diagnosing a problem). He fixed the issue and then promptly informed me that I had to pay $340 and the service was not covered under the warranty because the issue occurred because it "was dirty" - which he would not have even know if I had not told him. I find this absurd that my good will and honesty in pointing out information I knew to help the tech caused me a $340 burden. No one ever explained to me that I was expected to keep that unit clean and honestly thought I might be voiding my warranty by removing the cover to clean it in the first place. Stuff like this should be explained very clearly, up front, when the equipment is installed. Very unhappy with this company right now. Edit #2 - Turns out that capacitors for this unit are about $20 retail and take about 10 minutes to replace with the most basic understanding of electronics. I have no clue why I was charged $340, warranty or not. Absolutely ridiculous. Original Review: I had an dying system I wanted replaced. After getting an outrageous quote for average equipment from four seasons I called these guys. Eric came out the next day to do my quote. He provided me four options all of which were much cheaper and with better equipment and options. I'm having duct armor installed to my in-slab ducts and needed to get access to the plenum so Eric had a custom access box fabricated to install the new system on top of which gives me the needed access! Install day was smooth. Tim, Brad and Marco all were great, on time, and very respectful to myself and my property. The workmanship of the install was top notch and all of my questions were answered. I felt like I was in good hands throughout the quote and install. I highly recommend them!"

"Super nice people here! The AC unit for the 2nd story of my home quit working sometime in the overnight hours, it had been the hottest day of the year that day, so I didn't feel too confident about getting any appointment anytime soon. Very surprised and or very lucky, we had an appointment for the same day I called. Eric B was the gentleman that sorted out and repaired our AC. Really Great guy! He took a bunch of before and after pictures of the problematic parts, explained what each part does, how they work etc. He discussed various options, and made sure I was comfortable with what my decision was, and what the cost would involve. He explained everything thoroughly and with absolutely no hi pressure and rush to get the job done attitude. I will definitely use them again if/ when the need arises, and will have no problem recommending them based on my experience today starting with the first phone call."
