"These guys kept my lawnmower going when it was on life support and rather than charge me a bunch of money the last time I had it in, they strongly suggested replacement. I appreciated that. I gave the old soldier a proper sendoff and moved on. They've kept my snowblader going a long time. It's really hard to find reliable and competent repair people, but these guys are."
"Had my John Deere lawn tractor picked and serviced by him; took approximately a week and he did a thorough check and cleaning. Didn't replace anything that needed replacing. Tractor works like a charm. This last week, I accidentally did not push the dipstick full in when I added some oil, and after returning to the garage, oil all over the place under the hood and on the floor. Wasn't sure whether something sprung a leak, or whether it was the dipstick constantly moving up and down and spraying oil. Called over the MSER, spoke to the owner, and he came out to my house to take a look. Said it was the dipstick, then advised me how to clean up everything, what to use, and what motor oil to get, how much, and what to look for in the future. Couldn't be happier with the service and quick response."
"Stay away, over priced and unprofessional. Had them come to my house to service my zero turn Deere which I’ve always maintained myself for 10 years and am pretty knowledgeable about it. However I had an ongoing issue that I couldn’t fix so I called them for service, to their credit they picked it up and dropped it off the same day. My zero turn Deere would die out after taking it out of choke and I’ve tried everything. Occasionally I would get it to run for a while but the problem kept coming back. When he dropped the mover off he said it was because of a bad fuel line which he replaced along wit he the fuel filter. Now I’ve already tried that and the fuel filter I had just put in as well, but in any case it was runnning. The bill I received was just shy of $200. I laughed it off and paid with no issues because the mower was functional even though I paid $200 for $10 in parts and very little labor, I had no problem with it. A few weeks later the issue comes back. I called back to tell them the issue wasn’t fixed and I wanted to ask a simple question of what happens now if you come back to diagnose the problem again. Would I have some part of what I already paid go towards them coming again seeing they didn’t fix my issue or will I be charged like a brand new apt. Well this was beyond comprehension for this guy to answer and gave me every hypothetical k own to man all with answers that I’m wrong. The man was rude, kept talking over me and all I wanted to find out was if I was going to get any credit if he agrees after looking at it that what he originally did was not the solution to the problem. The guy wouldn’t even hypothetically entertain the scenario and answer me. I realized he wasn’t going to do anything about it and he started raising his voice where I had to just hang up. Stay away at all costs unless you like overpriced, unprofessional, rude people. I don’t."
"I brought my lawnmower in to adjust the height, (which was stuck) and make sure everything was tight. The man said the brand new (universal) blade was put on upside down but he'd flip it at no charge and he immediately took it off. He then firmly refused to put it back on because it was "unsafe." I asked him to use the proper needed washers/connectors to reinstall it but he refused and told me the (expensive) blade I "needed," to purchase from him. I said I didn't have the money and that Id make that call; it fits and cuts fine, please put it back on. He REFUSED to put my lawnmower back together, including the handle, unless I purchased "the right" "safer"blade from him!!!! I came close to calling the police!! The entire encounter was just awful! I was forced to buy what I didn't need or want just to get my lawnmower put back together!! Be warned: Maxwell engine repair is unscrupulous."
"Lance was fantastic helping me with a valve cover leak on my John Deere riding mower. Experienced loss of power, oil on ground and plumes of white smoke. Lance was very responsive despite a full plate of equipment in his shop. He went above and beyond in the time he spent researching the problem, making sure the valve cover was indeed the only issue. He spent a ton of time with me whenever we spoke, unlike other dealers/service shops I've worked with in the past (and I've had plenty of experience). The price for his time and service (accepts cash/credit) was very fair and he pressure washed it before bringing it back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"
