My son enjoys coming to class because it's FUN! I not only hear the music he is learning during practice, but I hear the laughter and joy! The students are kind to each other and work together in their jamming out sessions. The director has built a culture and climate that is inclusive and inviting for all members. "We love this place. It feels like a cool hidden gem close to our house. Our 7-year-old son wanted to take piano lessons. I tried to talk him into guitar but in the end he was not swayed so I asked for suggestions on our neighborhood Facebook page. Artfinix Studios came highly recommended from other parents in our neighborhood, and offers classes on all instruments and even the production side of music. I reached out via Facebook messenger and Brandon, the owner and a teacher, got back to me immediately. These are not the boring piano lessons you remember as a kid! haha Our son immediately started learning fun pop songs that he was excited to come home and play. Brandon has designed an amazing curriculum that is engaging and responsive to student interests. Along with some beloved pop hits, our son also got to choose his favorite song to learn how to play. Brandon is a natural teacher. His passion for music is contagious. The students learn how to read music (and all the other technical aspects that I'm no expert on) in a fun way where it doesn't feel like "work'. I'm amazed at how much our son has learned in just 3 short months. I have been a public school teacher for 20 years so I know a bit about teaching and learning and the folks at Artfinix have managed to create a super fun environment where learning is optimized. As our son's piano skills have increased so has his confidence. He used to be a lot shyer and hesitant to talk to other children and adults. Thanks to Brandon's easy way of interacting with the students and helping them interact with each other our son has blossomed. He is practicing now on his own! We don't have to make him stop playing video games and practice. He actually WANTS to practice."
