"Stay in a Tipi> ✅️ We had some issues with low shower pressure however they provided other accommodations for showering. Over all a great trip."
"Cool place for some “glamping”. We have been coming here for years, and it has changed ownership several times I believe. Good access to the river which is what we primarily like. Also the set up in Tipi #2 is three queen beds which fits my family of five very well. Each tipi has a small kitchenette and is air-conditioned. The AC works very well, and the insulation is good. Between that, and the fact that they have no windows, it is like a dark cave inside, and we always feel like we get the best sleep! There are two, detached, bathroom facilities for the campsite. Each houses four private shower and toilet facilities for each individual tipi, so, even though it is detached, you do have your own private bathroom. It is locked with the same code that opens your door. They are also air-conditioned and have tankless hot water heaters. It’s been about two years since we were here last, and since then it appears the ownership has changed again. There are some cosmetic upgrades that have been made with bright colored fencing. Also more permanent style barbecue grills have been added to each campsite (used to be rolling grills). It also seems that the mattresses have been changed(at least in our unit) to memory foam type mattresses, and they are fairly comfortable. The biggest change, and one that is somewhat unfortunate, is that the lofted common area has been converted to an additional room for rent called “La Pluma”. The loft area used to be a neat, air-conditioned place to hang out and play board games and watch TV with the family. It was open to anyone staying at the campsite. Now it is private and for rent. I suspect this was an economic decision, but it’s unfortunate as it changes the vibe of the camp a little bit. Similarly, there used to be a small bit of land downstream on the river that was also included as part of the campground. You could put your tube in at the tipi area, and float down for a bit and get out downstream at this additional portion of land. Now that portion of land has also been likely sold and is currently built out with units available for rent. Things change I guess, but it was a cool feature of this place that no longer exists. All in all still a good place to visit. It does look like the current ownership has put a little money into renovating things, as last time we were here it was certainly a little bit more rundown. Definitely not the four seasons, but it’s a unique place to spend a few days while on the river."
"I think it's a fun little experience to have with kids, family or friends. Tipi is very insulated whether hot or cold out. People are very nice. Own private bathrooms and everything is key coded for privacy."
"A last minute trip, going just before Christmas, 12/19/21. It was beautiful weather and only us and one other family. It made for a quiet and relaxing stay. The kids enjoyed playing ping pong, corn husk toss and the campfire at night. The tipi was spacious and clean. We did not cook during our stay but rather ate out. There are restaurants and fast food options about 20 minutes away. The kitchenette has cups, plates, silverware and a knife. The walk to the river is pleasant. Not far at all. We have older children. It may be a slower pace walk with younger children. The bathroom was very clean and towels are provided. Only a few towels so you may want to bring additional towels and washcloths. If it’s a rainy time, bring rain boots. As the roads are sturdy but it’s the country and the grounds around the tipis are dirt. The grounds were well kept-no trash. It’s a beautiful clean property. While the bathroom is separate, it’s very close to the tipi. Only a few steps away. Bathroom is clean. Cold in the cooler temperatures. We brought an extra rug to put on the tile floor to help with the cold temperatures. There is a note to limit time in shower to allow hot water for everyone. Fortunately, it was only us and one other family. Plenty of hot water for our stay. The tipis are closer together than I expected, so during busy summer season, keep that in mind. If the other families are quiet, great, if not, it could potentially be a problem. The 3 beds were comfortable and linens were clean and fresh smelling. We did not watch TV during our stay. It’s very dark in the Tipi at night. May want to bring a nightlight. There are no windows. Overall a great experience! Our favorite was having a campfire at night. We brought our own wood and lighter. We all had a nice time."
"We were beyond thrilled with our recent visit to the Tipis. They are clean, spacious and comfortable and the private bathroom with large tiled walk-in shower is nice enough for the most selective “glamper”. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."
