"I purchased a wedding ring 14 years from Ronnie. It was a bit of a complex design that had 1 large diamond surrounded multiple small ones. One of the main prongs broke off, so I recently brought it in for repair. It was finished in 3 days...at NO CHARGE! Also, Jackie is very personable and accommodating. "Though he was short with us in every communication we had, and seemingly bothered having us as simple, as small time customers, we overlooked the rudeness because he has nice stuff. Recently, wife and I drove to Houston from Florida to (1) have our wedding rings resized, (2) purchase an additional 3 bands for the wife, and (4) look at his inventory for an Anniversary gift for the wife. (Found it, and was planning on purchasing the bracelet without the wife knowing it). Ronnie was still curt and borderline rude, but we went ahead ordered the new rings and purchased the resize for the old rings. Lo and behold, Ronnie’s nice vendor made an innocent mistake on one wedding band. So, I sent an email with pictures pointing this out and it resulted in a very aggressive and over-the-top phone call from Mr. Hoffman today. Suffice it to say, he would not allow me to say anything without being threatened that he would hang up. So, I shut up and let him yell at me some more. It was such a surreal experience. He accused me of several falsehoods in facts and statements, including his claim that I somehow wanted him to make me a new ring when all I ever said was that I wanted my ring fixed. If his phone call was caused by a misunderstanding, I don’t know what it was that I said, because I couldn’t get a word in. I still and only want my ring fixed. Nothing more. [Note: His nice vendor already told me he would fix it]. Nevertheless, Ronnie continued to yell at me, and even went so far as to say, “Do you know how much trouble you have caused me?” I’m stunned, for I had no idea getting my wedding band resized would cause anyone any problems. I’ve had an a$$ chewing a few times in my life, and usually I understand why. Here, his phone call was so out phase with any sense of a normal, reasonable business transaction, I am forced to think he was really upset at someone else, and I just had the misfortune of catching his wrath as I was the next person up. My email or interaction could not be the cause of such an angry meltdown. So, I tried to address his multiple accusations and misstatements of fact, but I was shouted down each time. I never argued, never counter-accused, I just tried to say a complete sentence to calm him down all to no avail. Finally, he admitted that he “doesn’t make $5 on a resize” and then he yelled at me some more and then he banned me and hung up the phone before I could say a word in protest. Shocking encounter. I bet the whole angry phone call didn’t last 1 minute. So odd to think his blow up was over the simple cost of resizing and fixing a wedding band? And now, I still have to get my ring fixed. So strange. Would I recommend Ronnie? Yes, if you know exactly what you want, can place the order or purchase said item in mere minutes, and never have to get a ring resized. He doesn’t seem to have time for the latter, trivial matter."

"My fiancé was referred to Ronnie by a friend (a previous happy customer) and I am so glad we chose to go with Hoffman Jewelers. My fiancé and I had designed my engagement ring together online and visited a few known jewelry stores but weren’t happy with the experience or the price. "Not for the novice buyer. Was recommended to them, and I got what I paid for. Purchased a 1ct diamond and was not given, or told my stone didnt have a GIA cert. Had to call weeks later to understand that my diamond was not certified. In the end appraisal was slightly higher than purchasing price. Expect zero guidance and average price."
