"I wish I had the same experience as some of the other posters here. I had some questions about my taxes and my bill, and practically had my head bitten off when just trying to understand things better. I've been going to this office for almost two decades and have always trusted them with my taxes, but just wondered why my bill jumped up so much this year over what it had been in past years and was treated pretty rudely when I asked. I didn't understand why my tax preparation runs $500 to $700 dollars when I just have one job and am just a novice investor. I have coworkers who have multiple jobs, own businesses, have investment properties, have over a million dollars in investments, and boxes of tax documents... and they pay only around half of what I do for my tax preparation. I only tried to ask what drives up the price for mine, if there is something I should be doing differently with my investments, if there is something I should be doing differently with the documentation I bring in, or anything else and was snapped at that "I bring in reams of paperwork (which I don't - it's all organized on a flash drive) , and that it takes too much time for them to go through everything and that the paper they have to use to print everything isn't cheap". I wasn't even complaining about the bill... I was just trying to understand the difference in my bill this year and find out if I should be doing anything different to lower my tax burden and tax prep bill. The response just seemed really rude, unprofessional and not warranted for my decades of business with them. Other than that, I feel they do a good job with the tax preparation itself."
