10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Naperville

"I stopped in last night and had a great time. I went to the "beginners" class even though I have prior grappling experience. I'm very happy I did. Much of the terminology was new to me as 10th planet has a very unique system. I'm also quite out of shape since I haven't trained consistently in 6 years and I have a job which requires long sedentary work hours. At first I was nervous because I wasn't acknowledged, but I quickly realized that the culture of the gym is very open and my guess is they get a lot of walk-ins. A gentleman named Andy eventually saw my deer-in-headlights stare and was very kind and helped me out. I also want to mention (and this is important) for all new people on the fence about trying out a new gym, they do NOT care if you cross train at another gym nor do they have mandatory gear requirements. By mandatory gear requirements, I mean, you are not forced to wear all 10th planet gear. I never liked either of those rules, which you may encounter at other gyms. The woman I talked to before leaving (i'm sorry I can't remember her name) was very cordial and informative. I trained in mma for many years and still train, although infrequently (due to moving further away), at my mma gym . This is how the cross training got brought up. She was very cool about the whole thing. I would recommend 10th planet."
