"The apartment we were shown was vastly different from the apartment we were actually renting; with that being said, the apartment was still nice and so far all interactions I have had with the staff were very positive. There have been a couple of issues with the apartment, but nothing major: closet doors get stuck on occasion, the toilet will continue to run if the plug isn't properly closed, and our blinds on the windows are rather fragile. Other than that, not too bad!"
"The initial model apartment we saw before move-in was vastly different than the apartment we received. We had cracked tiles in the kitchen that were never replaced despite multiple requests since we moved in. I even cut my toe on the tile and told the office, but nothing was ever done. We dedicated 2 days to thoroughly cleaning our unit upon checkout, but were charged an outrageous amount of $1600 in cleaning fees. Not to mention the faulty new state-of-the-art keyless lock system that was “necessary” for the units that locked us out in the middle of winter. We went through three lock changes over the past two years (they were probably scraping up resident money to pay for their losses). We are reasonable people who wanted to maintain a good rapport with Cape Cod Village Apartments, so we were patient and polite up until we moved out. I sent our grievances to the corporate office (can only email). Jen stopped corresponding with me in trying to work things out. It took my husband’s email for them to eventually negotiate with us. We finally settled on paying $655 because we were just worn down & wanted the stress to be over. Looking back (happened 2 months ago) and we still feel railroaded. It was still grossly unfair as most of their charges were unsupported. My husband & I have never had so much go wrong at an apartment complex before, and we’ve been residents in no less than 4 separate apartments between us in our lives. Thankfully we are done with that life!"
"My wife, daughter, cat, and I moved in about a month ago and honestly couldn't be happier. The ladies in the office are lovely, hard working, and know their residents. I've placed two work orders which were addressed straight away. It feels safe/secure and grounds are kept up nicely and the pool/amenities are just awesome. Finally, the lake with the fountain....so cool. With each apt having a view AND the wildlife the water brings, it feels like you're on vacation. Cape Cod Village is a great place to call home until we buy our next house."
"I absolutely loved living at Cape Cod. Everyone there is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you are having the best experience. I had absolutely no problems. HIGHLY recommend anyone to live in such a peaceful and welcoming apartment complex such as Cape Cod."
"We really had no issues (besides a carpet tear they refused to fix upon us moving in) until our last month here. Our lease was until July and we ended up moving out 2 months early due to AC issues. We had maintenance come and “fix” our leaking AC at the very least 5 different occasions. One of these occasions he took the whole thing apart and went home for the night leaving the apartment at almost 80 degrees. He did come back after we called the emergency line. There was also black mold/mildew (unsure which one, but it kept coming back so I’m assuming mold) in the closet where the AC was leaking. It was cleaned and sprayed several times, but kept coming back. Kathy and Melanie were great (office ladies)! However the owner refused to answer calls or voicemails from us and went through the office ladies instead. We ended paying for two months of rent that we didn’t even live there, but it was better than dealing with maintenance issues every day. Again-office ladies were great! The view was awesome, the pool was nice, & the pet policy is very good. Could use better maintenance staff & a more tentative owner."
