"Excellent area, filled with many activities such as an indoor track, pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and many other indoor things, plus it is free for UTEP students."
"It seems like they forgot they are here to support the health of the students, and instead the administration makes decisions that make their jobs easier. The rec should not close early on Friday because of the football game. They should keep equipment up to date. Repair broken equipment so it does not sit unusable for months. Sell a few of the hundred treadmills that sit broken, and purchase new equipment the students are actually using. Students should not have to pay over the summer when they are registered for the fall semester. You only need to go a few times to see there are an overwhelming amount of dumb decisions that make this a terrible gym and experience for the utep student body."
"It’s is a great rec center. The staff is great and the facility is beautiful. Going early in the morning is the best time to go. They NEED to clean the downstairs locker rooms. I don’t want to say black mold but the grout looks like it has black mold. The shower heads need a good dosage of CLR as the hard water has made the showers unpleasant to say the least."
"Best gym in town hand down! Olympic size pool, indoor soccer, basketball courts, racquetball, indoor track, rock climbing gym, and outdoor fields make up this incredible place in addition to weights and workout machines."
