"North of Vega about 13.5 miles on the west side of Hwy 385. Must have Safety Boots, Vest, Glasses and Hard Hat and must be worn when outside the cab. Very large entrance, so very hard to miss it. Weigh in only once a week, so be full on your fuel and DEF on weigh in day. First time at location, tarp before pulling on scale, park on scale, go to office with your Weight Permit so it can be copied; otherwise, you'll only gross 79,500. CB's are helpful. Property is Free Range, meaning Cattle have the right-of-way and if you hit one, you're going to buy it. The scale office is 1.3 miles away from the highway. Trucks must share scale with a one in, then one out method. Once loaded, drive on scale, wait for GREEN LIGHT, pull up to printer, take copies, pull up to the right to tarp load, then leave. All tarping is done either on the east side of the scale or at the highway entrance. Front End Loader has a built-in scale, so the loading is very precise. Nicely laid out facility and one of the most organized and well maintained I've been to. This location is the envy of their competitors and a breeze to visit, once you understand their system."
