"Our younger daughter was a member of the nascent women's lacrosse team, the first team to play at Thorsen-Lucken Field. We'll always be grateful for the camaraderie of those young women, the spirit of the coaches and players, and the uplifting experiences of the games, including their annual success in the regular season and conference tournaments. While the victories each year in the NCAA Tournament were limited, the electricity of those games, and the bonding of players and parents, provided memories which will stay with all of us forever. Go Vikings! We can never adequately thank the Thorsen-Lucken family and Dr. Koppel (who funded the stands and announcer's booth) for their generosity, which provided a first-class facility on which the Augustana lacrosse and soccer teams could excel."
