"Charged my husband $700, after insurance, for an ultrasound that lasted less than 20 minutes. They charged the insurance nearly $2000 for the ultrasound. We asked for an itemized break down of the services and we were refused it. He was charged for a doctor that he hadn't met. And the ultrasound was conducted by a nurse. When the billing manager was confronted, she agreed that it sounded not right and very high. And that she would call us in a week to give us an update. Never got a call, but we did hear from them a week later with a bill threatening to send us to collections if we didn't pay. We called and they told us that its the price and we'll just have to pay for it. Despite my husband's doctor and the billing manager saying the numbers doesn't sound right. I had a similar ultrasound done at Forest City Imaging, without insurance, and it cost me $150. They charged nearly $2000. Go to Swedish American."
