"The staff here are great. I only take my kids here as i went there as a kid too. As an adult i have been to many different dentists and it is hard to want to stay at the same place more than once. However, i am happy with the care and consistency here as well as my kids are comfortable and that is most important to me."

"He was great and friendly with the kids, but as soon as one of them had need for a filling, he wasn’t willing to listen to what we wanted to do as parents and wanted to charge $350 worth of services not covered by our insurance, even though we and the insurance both felt it was unnecessary. It was a good atmosphere, but I draw the line at not taking into consideration what the family wants and the expense they would have to bear. We won’t be returning."

"The staff is very very RUDE!! I had an outstanding bill of 65 dollars cause the insurance wouldn’t cover. And received a bill a month ago from service over a year ago! She’s like cause you took her else were cause your insurance wouldn’t cover this payment. And the lady on the phone was rude about it and was eating while talking to me. Everytime I talked to them about anything they wouldn’t answer questions or was rude and treated me like I was stupid. I felt extremely uncomfortable. And I’m glad I didn’t get any work done for my daughter there. I took her else where! I don’t recommend this place cause they will scam you and be rude when you just got a bill for it almost a year later! ! Don’t waste your time!"

"I've been taking my kids here for a few years and within the last year started getting a feeling that something wasn't right. My daughter constantly had cavities (never small ones) and always needed extensive work at those appointments. The Dr. refused to do the appointment unless I authorized a $395 antianxiety med plus $80 nitros, all of which is out of pocket. Recently, my daughter complained of a toothache and when I looked, I noticed her tooth had chipped. Took her in and they said she had a couple of cavities (mind you, she just had a checkup 2-3 months prior and was given the all clear). You can't make a filling appointment without them first getting a quote back from insurance (takes 4-6 weeks) or paying 50% of their quote. I chose to pay 50% and make the appointment as soon as possible so her teeth don't worsen. At that appointment, turns out she needed 2 root canals and 2 silver teeth because the decay was so extensive, which was an additional $700 the day of the appointment since more decay happened since her evaluation appointment. At the end of the appointment, Dr. Zak showed me the X-rays from her past regular checkup and even pointed out the baby cavities. My response was, "you knew about these in March and didn't do anything?" That was the final straw for me and realized he doesn't care about my child's health. Just his bank account. I took my kids to a new dentist recommended by friends and it took several attempts for Dr. Zak's office to email over they previous X-rays. During their exam with the new dentist, she noted quite a bit of build up on the kids teeth and was scraping it off. It clicked then, I had never seen Dr. Zak or any of the hygienists scrape their teeth. They only cleaned them quickly with the brush and sent us on our way. After reading more reviews posted here, I realized we were not the only ones with this experience. If that isn't enough to dissuade you from going here, Dr. Zak also tried to pit my kids grandparents against each other, asking her if she sees her 'nice' grandparents or her 'mean' grandparents. He also talks down about in-laws and how awful they are. When he does talk, it is very nonsensical and very frustrating."
