"I attended Children's Learning path when I was a child, and it was a horrible experience. I was constantly berated for doing the littlest things wrong, and I distinctly remember one of my teachers forcing me to write with my right hand even though I'm a leftie. I hope that any other child will not receive the same blows to their self esteem as I did when attending this school."
"Our 3 year old daughter goes here, and she loves it. She has progressed so much socially and academically. The teachers and staff are so nice and patient. They take special attention to each student and you can tell they really care. It is an excellent daycare/school, and it is definitely not brought up enough. Love it here, and I highly recommend it!!"
"We enrolled our son here when he was 3.5 yrs old and it's been more than a year now, I checked the day cares and Montessori schools around wheeling and this is the best place that we could find and we are happy that our decision turned out to be right ! Mrs. Rai and her team's teaching methods are excellent and my son enjoys it here, they are like an extended family now. English is not our first language and we don't speak english at home but my son never had problems working with teachers and his language has improved a lot now, thanks to the CLP team, I would definitely recommend this place to my friends."
"What do parents look for when searching for a "home-away from home" for their children, their legacy, their future. In today's fast paced society the little things get overlooked. As a new parent I know all of these thoughts went through my head as I searched for a conduit of learning, mannerism, and etiquette for my then 2 year old. After looking around the Northshore area me and my wife settled on Children's Learning Path because of two reasons; (1) the head director; (2) the teachers. No one comes into the business of teaching and molding young minds to get rich, they do it because it's their passion, hell I know they have much more patience than the regular human being, thats for sure. This is the feeling I got when I first interacted with Kanchan Rai, the director, Mrs. Anna, and Mrs. Dawud. They made school feel like home-away from home, I credit them with my child's exceptional ability to say thank you, please, and most especially to interact with other children his age. The education process is superb as it uses the time tested methods of Maria Montessori herself. Methods that create an environment of learning through our most fundamental ability, which is to learn through discovery. Give your child the best, bring them to Children's Learning Path."
"Our daughter has been going to CLPM for the past year. She has flourished both academically and socially. I believe this has to do in a large part to two factors, the environment and the teachers. The Montessori environment allows for children to explore their prime area of learning. CLPM has allowed my daughter to really explore reading and writing which she is very interested in. She is able to choose what she would like to learn. At the same time it is a very structured and organized area for learning. There are no kids running around and yelling. They are hard at work at their own stations working for the most part independently. They learn social skills, how to interact with other kids when there is a disagreement or feelings have been hurt. How to wash their dishes and other every day skills are also learned at school. The teachers at CLPM are amazing. They know each child individually and spend time with each one making sure that they are fostering and encouraging them to excel in their areas of interest. They allow the child to be a leader in they're learning process. For example my daughter wanted to bring her slippers from Thailand that she got for Christmas to school to show the other students. I wasn't sure if this was something the whole class was doing, bringing a Christmas present to show, or just something she had thought up on her own. When we got there in the morning and talked to Miss Rei she said it was not something school was doing but asked my daughter if she would like to show the class and allowed her to do so. (Asked my daughter, like she was speaking to an adult, not asking me as if my daughter didn't exist) The open structured time allows for each child to really have a individualized learning experience. My daughter loves going to school. The previous school/daycare she was at she had a hard time with drop off. She would cling to me and cry. We haven't had any of those problems at CLPM. She loves her teachers and her friends and going to "work". She tells us all about the work she did that day. I wish I had had a Montessori program when I was a child, specifically for learning math. I think it would have made so much more sense. I highly recommend a good Montessori program in general and CLPM specifically!!"
