"District 86 had failed their students over and over again the teachers do not care. They are mean and don't try to understand their kids. They pass them by and don't even care if they make it. And they withhold records of the children further hurting their education. Teachers told me it was my child til she went out of District only to find out they failed her. She needed an IEP bc she didn't understand anything they were teaching and instead of taking the time to teach her they just ignored her. She was bullied and noone did anything for her. And now they are hurting another one of my children by refusing to fax her records. They need to be shut down."
"Carl Sandburg teachers are amazing. My sons been there for about 2 years now and I adore the teachers he has had. Mrs Adams Mrs Siever, you are 10/5! I literally love you! On the other hand, Isaac singleton elementary, Mrs.Bazan, these are first graders and you verbally abuse them. I have not heard you give them a bathroom break yet, a snack break yet, and when they do go you threaten to end their zoom call when they come back. You are in the wrong career field lady. I don’t appreciate your teaching skills."
"Zero stars for the bus company and the drivers unprofessionalism rude young not safe at all. I was having a discussion with the bus driver about my child n I get cut off from the bus driver he says to me he outta here with all of that in excuse me I'm asking u why my child's seat was moved then I ask oh no get my child off the bus he closes the door on my arm n pulls off with my chikd. District 86 this has made me want to change districts completely how can a parent feel safe if we are being treated like this these people are supposed to be responsible for my kid what a joke!!!!! And this is not the first incident"
"Their transportation system is old and inconvenient. I have a 12 year old daughter that I will not let walk to school due to the DISTANCE and creepy peopleWe on the other side of jefferson but "it's not far enough for her to be eligible to ride the bus. Its cold and you expect kids to walk 30 minutes plus to get to school. There are closer middle schools other than Dirksen, this whole system is just dumb. I could understand if we lived 6 or 7 blocks away. Who knows how to file a complaint? Thanks"
"Need better student pick up procedures at Marshall. School has all car rider traffic lining up down Scribner, blocking the driveways of residents on the street and on many days, cars are waiting in the middle of the street which would make it impossible for another vehicle to get through if an emergency happened. Many unhappy families that live on that half of Scribner (my family included) not to mention, they are making it unsafe for children that live on that half of Scribner to walk home safely since there is only a side walk on one side of the street and the line of cars seems to be never ending."
