Woodland Middle School

"so this school is okay on programs and band (ms matusek is gr8), the teachers are the problem. My science teacher got completely annoyed when me and my friends kept on going “uagh” in class all the time, one of us was given a detention, to her, we “are not equals” and also my l.a. teacher (but she’s gucci) and we aren’t allowed to speak or we get detentions. Yet you don’t see bullies getting these punishments?¿ she also changes her rules a lot too so she’s just a uagh in general. I can go on but I really shouldnt. But wait there’s more: in class my friends were sniffing markers for fun and I was just sitting with them, and they started coughing due to it. One of my friends asked “are you high” as a joke, and she heard this, getting the whole group, including me, in trouble. She called my parents who now absolutely hate her to tell them of my “bad behavior” and she has kicked me out of clubs. She took me out of yearbook signing, and when I told her I didn’t do it she didn’t but believe a word, she hasn’t to seriously learn to respect kids. To her we also are not equals, and she never hears the other side of arguments. She’s ruined my time at school to the point where I don’t even want to come to school because of her, not to mention she’s also ruined life at home trying to get me in trouble. She’s honestly the worst thot I’ve ever met. Good riddance theres one more day left with her."

"I have had 4 children come through there and every year its some of the same stuff. I don't want to discredit "ALL" the teachers because of a few rotten apples, but some of the teachers there I found to act more childish than the kids they teach. Their cliquish and gossip about who the "problem kids" are instead of trying to help. They think you should answer to them instead of the other way around. And if your child has a problem and you stand up for yourself, they will have a target on their back for the rest of the school year and they will do petty stuff to make your kids time their miserable. Some are more concerned about proving a point and being right..etc. Parents beware, Woodland has money and looks nice but lack character & true concern for the students. If you can find any in there that do ..cherish them..I have."

"This is a pretty good school. Teachers seem to truly care about providing the best possible education for our children. The size of the school is quite large but the students do get use to it. It's a nice atmosphere and good community of people to be a part of. Glad they have a variety of clubs & sports my child can participate in during the year."

"I attended this school with an anger management problem, it was not a good 3 years here, and I will give you the whole thing. I was the only female in this class for anger management/troubled kids, and I was bullies endlessly. I was told I was fat, gay, and no one loves me. Constantly. I was always the one that ended up with the ""Your kid was being bad!!!"" deal. If I opened my mouth, I was the one in trouble. It was horrible, and I almost killed myself that year. I was always egged on by these teachers, and they didn't teach me anything useful. I learned to control myself in a destructive manner, and It has affected me. Also, i'd like to mention, I attended back when we had a few ipads, and the tech that they introduced definitely hurt my education. It was a distraction, and even during my time in Warren. The chrome books did make me more distracted. Also, the chrome books were the cheapest thing to get in bulk, and yes they did block a bunch of websites for stupid reasons. The issue is, how much they block makes them useless for research of any kind. I would highly recommend you take your kid to a different school, and just ignore this one."

"As I go to this school in 7th grade, it's pretty nice. As far as I've seen, there's been no bullying, the teachers are helpful and nice (most of the time), and the students mostly hang in cliques, but other than that they're very nice. The school's huge, and it may take a bit to get used to, but you'll quickly figure it out. 5/5"
