My wife is taking classical guitar lessons, and my son started piano under the Suzuki method when he was six years old (with me as the designated parent). It has been our experience that the instructors are quite competent at tailoring the lessons to the individual student, whether child or adult. For example, from the beginning, my son's instructor supplemented the Suzuki material with regular sight-reading and basic theory-building activities, which has given him a solid musical foundation."

She is kind, patient, extremely knowledgeable about piano and other instruments, and genuinely takes an interest in her students and the music they like to play. She has printed out music sheets with different songs that I enjoy and is helping me to learn them while following my lesson book too. I have been going for about 6 weeks now and I am getting better each session. I am reading music, learning keys, and hearing the sounds to learn.
