"There are many complaints that I have about the service that I received from Attorney John Shelhorse and his assistant. To state a few, my second time speaking with him over the telephone he got irate and yelled at me about only paying $100 on a $300 payment. I was initially calling to ask about a court date but he thought that I was a different individual and was very rude toward me. Later he apologized and explained that he had thought that I was someone else. The second complaint is regarding his service. I paid this attorney $800 for four separate municipalities and received service for three and one of the three municipalities I did his job for him. Not to mention that he had an invalid no insurance ticket amended to a different type of ticket and never presented the evidence in court to show the prosecutor that I had car insurance at the time. When I called him to talk to him about it, he once again became irate and very disrespectful. I explained to him that his secretary had already informed me that she had not given him the evidence needed because she did not know that it was relevant. Instead of consulting with his secretary he called me a liar and said "No, what you guys did was you got insurance after you got the ticket. My secretary isn't hiding paperwork, you people are always looking for hand outs. You don't make good life decisions and then you want to blame others for your mistakes. I can fix the ticket but it will cost you $150." I asked him why he was so angry toward me and if he'd assumed that I was asking for free services and he said "Of course I expect that you want me to do it for free. That's what you people do." Once I explained that I did not want free service, only to have the issue corrected he again kept interrupting and saying "It'll be $150." I told him after that performance that I did not want any service from him, why would I? I am not sure what his problem was with me but I must say that his service from start to finish was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!"
