"This school is great, just don't walk too close to the windows, freshman are known to jump through them."
"It's just a public school so it's an abortion of an attempt at preparing young kids to get jobs or operate in the real world. The last year I was there the administration just submitted to the unyielding swag of disruptive, adolescent scatter-brain students, so come the end of lunch time the kids could leave all their garbage around and during lunch the kids could throw food at each other and play dog whistles on their phones. Some of the teachers there are very solid people and are fair and good at their particular jobs. The school itself teaches based off of common core so instead of learning about important stuff e.i. insurance, taxes, economics, government, law, automotive maintenance, rhetoric, cooking/home ec., entrepreneurship, or ACTUAL physical fitness you learn about clouds, calcite, imaginary numbers, logarithms, Edgar Allan Poe, and you watch CNN for "American Studies". So yeah, I do not hold the school in high regard but that's just me."
"A good amount of the teachers are amazing, they genuinely care about their students, but the administration has done the teachers and students a disservice. The mentality is to just get the students passed for statistics and funding. They let kids get away with so much. A student can disrupt the instructor, verbally abuse, curse, etc... And very little is done to correct these patterns of disrespect. Your kid will graduate but unless there is good support at home and the child really wants to thrive the chances that your child will be prepared for the world after they graduate are very slim. They allow kids to get away with an incredible amount of crap. They culture of the school isn't designed to succeed it's based or revolves around self-entitlement and feeling sorry for oneself if things don't go their way. Unless you have reason to, send them to West Burlington."
"Great school for a full education for real life experience. You get a taste of real life in a safe environment so you'll be prepared to move on after graduation. Both my kids love it."
"A pretty awful learning experience"
