"as a former student at saint mikes, this experience was not one bit pleasant. most of the staff treated me with disrespect and made me feel very small. the way that some of them spoke to me and some of the things that were said are things that i will remember forever. one teacher told my classroom, “your parents don’t truly love you.” because we were “misbehaving” too much. if the class was being too obnoxious, instead of punishing the few students, everyone was punished. things were being taken away like going outside, having class, water, the bathroom, and other basic necessities that we were paying for. each day that i had to go to school, i came home sobbing. i did not feel safe or comfortable at all. some days it was too mentally draining to go to school. i had teachers and students comment about my appearance, the way i talked, and every little thing i did. i was constantly getting bullied by my peers and my teachers. this made me develop an intense anxiety that i would mess up and be laughed at even more. i had classmates tell me to end my life, i was physically touched by other students, and made fun of on the daily. i got bullied out of the school play and volleyball. when i tried telling teachers about this, they did not do anything besides pat my back and give a talk to the entire class and singling me out, which made people bully me even more. i had to start going to therapy at a young age due to my extreme anxiety and developed severe depression. my parents felt helpless because no matter how many times they called the school about the teachers and students, nothing seemed to be done. i could go on and on about the other incidents that happened, but i will leave it at this. this school caused me a lot of problems and forced me to grow up very early. these past few years in highschool i have thrived and have not had one incident of a teacher or students bullying me. thank you for taking the time to read this."
"Fantastic school. Those who are complaining don't fit the mold of what a Catholic School is AND should be. The state test results speak for themselves. As a public school educator, I can't say even positive things about Saint Mike's. Money well spent. The happiness, confidence, Faith, and educational abilities is all the proof I need that the schools works as intended."
"As a alumni of SMS, I could not be more thrilled to send my kids there today. The teachers are caring and kind while exceeding expectations in our children's education. We are so happy with our choice to send our children to St. Mikes - wonderful community where lifelong friendships are made!"
"I cannot say enough about how much I love this school. I feel that my sons are receiving a wonderful education and just as importantly, they have learned respect. The teachers are caring and dedicated. There is an excellent resource team, multiple choices in extra curricular activities, a competitive curriculum, a sense of community....too many things to list."
"We have been involved at Saint Michael for years. Our oldest is finishing her 7th grade year soon and we are so sad to see her grade school career almost coming to an end. We have three other children at Mike’s. Our son is in 5th, we have a daughter in 1st and another son in Kindergarten. Saint Michael is a wonderful school. We feel very blessed to be involved in such a wonderful school!!"
