"I was pre approved for a student credit card and I submitted the necessary documents, yet they would not go ahead with the approval because one of my documents was not in English even though there is no condition stipulating that verification documents must be in English, and no one in they're team would take responsibility to correct my issue. In the end I got a hard check on my credit score and no card. Discover!; a bit more transparency, a bit more responsibility is necessary in every business."

"My mother passed away on 8/12/23 I have submitted all of her paperwork for the trust she set up and yet Discover refuses to close her accounts and relinquish her money to the estate. The runaround we are getting is exhausting. Every other bank she had money in gave us no problems. Putting money in Discover is a huge mistake. There are better banks."

"Fraudulently applied charges to my CC while I specified using my Discover card as a placeholder at a car rental agency ~ car was rented during an active duty military move from overseas. Then, ignored my documented proof of no outstanding balances and tried to ruin my credit. DO NOT TRUST THEM."

"Worst customer service. Requested a identity verification after I made a $600 payment, putting a 14 day hold on my card while traveling. Essentially stranding me, a disabled veteran, without a rental vehicle in -20 degree weather in Montana. DO NOT use a discover card if you intend on making large payments. They WILL leave you stranded."

"I’ve had this card for nearly 10 years, back when I had no credit. As I built my credit up I was able to get a 0% APR for a while. When it expired, I went to a variable 28.92%. After years of loyalty and using this card as an active customer, the best they could offer me when I called to review the account was 16.99% on current balance with an account hold for new purchases. Absolutely crazy! So I balance transferred to another card that understands how customer loyalty works, with a 0% APR and one-time 3% transaction fee. Super disappointed in Discover, won’t be back."
