"I would not recommend this doctor due to how his staff treats you. I know I'm not getting the proper care that could save a life. Mental illness/PTSD/ is what I suffer from. Trying to call to make an appointment is difficult when dealing with Mrs. Allison. We set the appointment up and when the appointment date comes, she will either call early or late. She can never call you when its your appointment time. As my appointment time comes close I'll look at me phone and saw that she called. I call har back and she will purposely not answer my call. I put my phone in private mode where she can't see my number and BAM, Mrs. Allison answers my phone call. This has happened several times. Mrs. Allison can't be trusted to get you the help that is needed by your doctor. Mrs. Allison talks about clients after they leave as I was standing at the counter waiting to get another appointment. Mrs. Allison will purposely not answer your phone call. Mrs. Allison is rude, not considerate about your concerns, talks down to patients. Most of all is "I" feel like an option in this equation."
"Dr. Chalfont has been very helpful and compassionate. He listens to his patients. His staff is wonderful. I highly recommend this office."
"He has been taking care of my mom for many years. When he moved his practice from Centralia to Belleville it went down hill. My dad before he passed had tried to reach out to him as he was supposed to be treating some very serious illnesses. He would never take his calls which led to some pretty tense and dangerous situations. When he passed I moved home to help her and I could see things getting very bad. I tried to reach our to him left several messages which he never returned my calls and twice before this last incident I couldn't leave a message because his voice mailbox was full. It lead to her getting very sick and becoming even more of a danger to herself and every one around her. It ended with a involuntary three week stay for mom and the only way he knew is because of a fax that I sent begging for him to help and the doctors of the hospital she was at. I then find nine months of consecutive prescriptions of some very serious anti psychotic meditations that were authorized by him. FOUR of the bottles were never opened, two were were three quarters full and one half full. I took pictures of all it. He was renewing these from short 15 minute phone sessions which she was not truthful about and when all hell was breaking through my pleads for help were ignored. I think it's only fair to say because of his incompetence he could be more dangerous than the illness people suffer from."
"Honestly I think giving 1 star is being very generous. When I went to the appointments, he acted very uninterested. I tried to open up and tell him how I was feeling and the symptoms I had. He literally ignored everything I had to say. He didn’t validate me or my feelings at all. I tried staying for a while, hoping it would get better. It never did. My personal opinion is if your gonna be in this field, you should truly care for your clients and actually listen to them."
"Don't go to this doctor. He won't know your history, your name, or even what he himself has prescribed for you or taken you off of. I was literally seeing him about every 3 weeks when I had severe symptoms, and he couldn't remember anything and didn't care to look me up prior to or even while seeing me. He will stare at you blankly and offer nothing helpful. He has no people skills, no compassion, and no interest in anything besides writing you a prescription, getting you out the door, and making sure that you schedule another appointment for another round of poor treatment. And even at that, his treatment is not effective. I won't go back. I tell every provider or person who mentions his name about my experience."
