"Place looks great. I recently received "grand opening" coupons in the mail. When I tried using a coupon, I was told they couldn't be used to purchase balls due to exclusions. New look, same old corporate nonsense. FYI, a coupon at the golf store across the street can be used for anything."
"Staff was wonderful! Rob was so kind and helped me find everything I needed. He was very helpful and knew just where everything was that I was asking about, and didn't mind my questions. Very pleasant experience and the store is really nice since they've re-done it as the performance center!"
"No idea how to treat people. Let alone sell anything golf related. "Greeter" should get a job at Walmart. I drove 40 miles out of my way with a credit card in hand, planning on buying a set of irons. Walked out not really talking to anybody about golf clubs. Really a zero rating total waste of time and gas."
"Go see Addison - he’s always willing to chat and answer questions. And if you need a new club, there’s no one better. He talked me out of my current 2 iron and into a 5 wood and my game is much better for it. Overall a great location with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They do a great job regripping clubs too. (Again, go see Addison!)"
"Went in in search of a new driver that I had all but decided on prior to my visit. I’d been told by one of my coworkers that golf galaxy had an indoor range where you could practice your swing. According to him, it was free advice and you were under no obligation to purchase anything. He raved about what a pleasant experience it was. That was not my experience. I explained to the salesperson that I was interested in the Taylor made aeroburner clubs but wanted to use it and possibly get some pointers on my swing because I tend to slice the ball, regularly. I was set up on the range and almost immediately the salesman walks away. I don’t remember how many balls I was given but after slicing about 10, the guy comes back and says, looks like you have a slice then walks away again. Mind you there was hardly anyone in the store at the time. As I’m wrapping up, the guy walks over to me with the driver in hand and says, so will you take this one? I explained that I was only looking today and I wasn’t 100% certain which club I would purchase. He then says hold on and walks over to another person who I can only assume was a manager. The “manager” comes over and asks was I interested in the club and I repeated that I wasn’t today. He then tells me that he’s not going to charge me for the use of the driving range but that it usually costs a fee. As no one had mention there was a fee and because my coworker had already told me about his experience (where he didn’t purchase anything either), I was quite surprised with the pressure I was feeling to either buy the club or pay for hitting a few balls. There’s 1 distinct difference between he and I and that is our race. Not sure if I had the wrong team there that day or what the issue was, but I will never go to golf galaxy again."
