Joliet Bicycle Club

The Joliet Bicycle Club is the premier bicycle club in Will County and the Chicago area. Located in Joliet, Illinois, our club offers a variety of bicycle rides, a diverse membership, and a range of other activities for cycling enthusiasts. Our mission is to promote the pleasures and benefits of bicycling, provide community service related to cycling, advocate for the rights of bicyclists, improve conditions for cycling, and provide a platform for cyclists of all ages to share their experiences.

With approximately 200 members from Northern Illinois, JBC is a welcoming community for like-minded individuals who are passionate about cycling. Our club is not only a social organization but also actively involved in making improvements to cycling infrastructure and promoting safety education.

Membership dues are $16 per year for adults, with minors included under parental membership. The Joliet area offers fantastic low-traffic roads and bike trails, perfect for cyclists of all levels. Our rides are organized with 5 speed levels ranging from 10 mph to 20 mph to accommodate different riding abilities.

One of the highlights of our club is the 4th of July Metric Century Plus, a premier one-day cycling event in Northern Illinois. With a variety of ride distances on scenic roads, well-staffed rest stops, and plenty of food and drink, this event attracts up to 1,000 cyclists of all abilities.
