Reviews of FedEx Ground
"FedEx ground the company isn’t to bad, but if you wanna work as a driver do not work for V-Man inc very un organized they switch your route every 2 days & they make you use your phone for navigation other fleets have iPads for navigation, my mother had a stroke & they wanted me to still come to work the next day & basically said screw my mother. Terrible contractor. I Worked for them for a year."
"Never got paid for the few Hours I worked there before I QUIT because they make u work in a hot warehouse w no air and you’re stuck in the back of a semi all day stacking boxes with literally no air flow. For as much money fed ex brings in they need air in their buildings. Not fans that circulate hot air. I think it’s ridiculous I was never paid for them few hours. I’ve called multiple times and was told he’d get back to me it’s been over a month and I’ve gotten no calls or updates about the hours I didn’t get paid.. that wasn’t no damn voluntary work I should be paid regardless of how long I was there"
"The schedule is super flexible, and the coworkers/bosses are really friendly. They have lots of small perks like free food on certain days, shirts/hoodies etc for good work and a point system where you can earn prizes. Although the point system seems to be forgotten. All that being said, the job is VERY difficult at times. The work can be extremely strenuous, while also mind numbing. The repetitive movements and constant running can leave you exhausted at the end of each shift. I would recommend the preload shift over the night shift. Preload is much easier on the body as you have more help and most people load the ground trucks. However the night shift loading or unloading is almost strictly semi trailers. I myself have loaded 1 to 3 of these at a time. This can be EXTREMELY difficult especially for shorter people. The semis are roughly 12 feet to the top and you're expected to load it to the ceiling. This may sound simple but the ample amount of packages coming down the line at a time can be frighteningly overbearing. There have been times where I've almost been stuck inside the semi trailer because of the amount of boxes that come down and eventually veer off the belt blocking the path out on both sides. Good workers can usually manage by stacking the boxes to the side but that also creates a scenario where you essentially deal with a fraction of your workload twice. All this being said you get no breaks in your 4 to 5 hour shift and the pay raises are once annually for a set amount. Turning this job into a career is near impossible unless you plan to become a manager or driver. If you are planning to apply for this position I would strongly recommend first applying for a package handler position through UPS or USPS as they have breaks, raises and union benefits where FedEx provides none of those options at a reasonable time. I've only been a package handler for FedEx for about 9 months but I would not recommend it unless you genuinely cannot find another job in a timely fashion."
"I had a table delivered today. Not only was the box destroyed, but it was left out in the pouring rain. When I opened the box, the tabletop was destroyed, and everything inside was soaked. The water cleaned up east with last dinner paper towels however our new table is now garbage. 5-7 business days for a “resolution” when I called and had to file a claim?? What a joke. Wish I could give negative stars."
"They are the worst place to work for women delivery driver. The boss will follow you to make you late to your stops. Then they lied tell you that they paying you 19 dollars a hour and a 150 a day and get paid weekly and that was a lie. If you a woman don't work at FedEx. Women drivers get mistreated while they treat the man the best."
