"Surprising that a lab company would have negligence around rules they themselves put into place. A simple example, they posted "Max 12 People" in waiting room, we counted 15+ today including very sick folks w/o masks. Additionally no staff was masked considering this it's peak RSV, FLU, and Covid season. This location services medically complex and comprised children but yet follows no common effort of CDC rules or healthy best practices to protect this population. Do better."
"It took 2 arms and 10 minutes to find my son’s vein. My 10 month old screamed for 10 minutes while they moved a needle around in his arm. I even asked them to stop so that I could hold him and calm him down before trying again. They lied to us, repeating that he can’t feel the needle moving around inside his arm, but was only screaming because he was being held down. But he did calm down when she finally found a vein and stopped moving it. I’ve seen my son intubated and on oxygen support in the NICU before, and this was almost as stressful and horrifying as that. I’m worried that he is traumatized and won’t trust me anymore. I would rather fly him to the other side of the country for labs, if I had to, than ever bring him back here."
"***UPDATE*** Unfortunately I have to take my 5 star review back. My daughters doctor's office called to ask if we went to get her blood work done, I let them I had and they said they called and there was no record of her getting it done. Her doctor called repeatedly and no one would answer, I called and left voicemails, no answer or call back. We were going to have to get her blood drawn again because no one would answer the phone and tell us what happened. Our doctor's office finally found out(after jumping through many hoops) that our daughter's blood had been sent to the wrong lab. Thankfully we found out before we took her to get it done again. I understand mistakes happen but at the very least you could answer the phone or call someone back. I do not recommend this place. It's very disappointing and unsettling. Careless mistake and no customer service. We had to take our 3 week old to get blood work done and our doctor recommended this location. I was super nervous, I couldn't imagine how they would be able to take blood from such a tiny baby and was afraid they would have to stick her multiple times. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The guy that drew the blood was so gentle and kind, another nurse helped hold her arm still and she was so sweet to get the whole time. It was over in a few seconds and I think I cried more than my baby. They made it the best possible experience it could have been and I definitely recommend them."
"I had a fantastic experience here today. I brought my 2 year old after a very traumatizing experiment at a CPL location. I was very upset and nervous to put my daughter through another blood draw. The team reassured me immediately that we could all do it together. Aubrey (I believe was his name) and Harper were so professional and amazing with my little one. They did a quick, painless draw and had us out the door fast. I’m so grateful to them for making this easy on my toddler."
"I’m writing this review because when I looked on here before bringing my baby in, the other low star reviews made me very nervous. So nervous in fact, that my husband and I took our 9 month old to a CPL Lab the day we did his blood draw. But I walked in, saw the long line of adults and the lackluster staff, and I “called an audible” and we drove over to Dell Children’s. I’m so glad I did. We got there when they first opened, so no line. The waiting room is inviting, with a mural on the wall and a big window looking out over a green belt. There were two gentlemen working on the lab. I didn’t catch their names. One was black, one was white. The black guy was really nice and communicative. He let me know we were waiting on his partner, so that gave me just enough time to nurse my baby so he’d be in a better state. The white guy did the actual blood draw. The black guy held my baby’s arm, and my husband held the baby, so I could stand in front of him and try to distract him. My big reason for going here is I wanted a phlebotomists who specializes in working with children. These guys didn’t sing songs at my kid or try to connect with him, but here’s what they did do - a quick, precise, and effective blood draw on the first try. Did my baby cry? Yes, of course he did. But the gentlemen made the whole experience so much smoother than it might have been."
