"Today we had our first visit at Forest Pediatrics. From the moment we scheduled over the phone to talking with the front desk, and being seen by Nurse Practitioner, Erin Robert’s, we have nothing but incredible things to say about all the staff members! They are all so polite and very thorough. Not only that, but they are very personal individuals. We can’t wait to come back for our next visit! For anyone looking for an office you can trust, this is the one!"
"Recent red flags: I have been in this location for 3 years now. Never ever had a problem with this practice until recently. I specifically asked for Ms. Erin in two separate appointments and I walked in to two different NPs (happening in less than 4 months). They argue that emergencies and days off happen but again, I prefer to be advised before. It does feel like whenever I see a new person = no personal relationship with your provider, since they don’t even know your kid. They take opportunities to get a sick visit out of a well baby visit, even when I stated, I only want a well visit and be done with it at the beginning of my visit (my kids had runny nose, congestion and cough, these things are not treatable for their ages). My kids were treated with albuterol (when the np said oxygen treatment, which is not the same)… after I got home I found the researched and public evidence says it does not help at all with cough (cited: Bernard DW, Goepp JG, Duggan AK, Serwint JR, Rowe PC. Is oral albuterol effective for acute cough in non-asthmatic children? Acta Paediatr. 1999 Apr;88(4):465-7. doi: 10.1080/08035259950169891. PMID: 10342550.). I was not explained or informed what that medication was prior to administration or prescription (NO INFORMED CONSENT). Not only that, only during the visit the treatment was urgent but as soon as I walk out the door, prescriptions were not sent (obviously they only wanted the opportunity to charge the sick visit) and they blame the pharmacy (I have the records when the rx was sent). I was not even given the chance to dispute the charges. The manager was defensive, literally stating everything was my fault, that I should have walked away the moment I saw another NP (Sure after waiting 30 minutes in the room just to find out you will see a new NP, at this point you just want to be done and leave) or decline procedures that were blindsided give and were not done with INFORMED CONSENT. Considering I am taking the loss, the practice manager Literally had zero interest on improving the experience specially with the provider schedule problem, Informed consent, not even even want to be critical of their practices or feel empathy. She even got more defensive when I brought up the evidence on albuterol, stating that the Nurse Practitioners have the education and credentials to prescribe it, which I answered back, I am also an educated parent and researched on my own on published papers. She said I just wanted to make a problem out of everything and ended the conversation. At least charitably take the feedback unless you want patients fleeing from this office. Red flags are everywhere in this place. Please consider another pediatrician practice with little to zero rotation and heavily practices informed consent and evidence based care. Given the feedback provided above, I'll be changing pediatricians offices. I do not want to be treated as another number when you should be seeking a respectable relationship with your provider."
"At first we seen Dr. Fershtman(only once) and he seemed good, seemed caring. When our baby had to be admitted into the hospital for high bilirubin levels he was the one that told us to have our baby admitted and to call him to check in with him and let him know our baby had been admitted, which was a nice gesture. Then we started seeing the nurse practitioner Rachel I think her name is. It’s been awhile so I’m not too sure but she has blue eyes and brown hair maybe ? I’m not sure but we LOVED her. Very knowledgeable, nice and even helped me with something’s dealing with lactation and has experience in the NICU aswell. Definitely recommend coming here and we were sad to leave ! I will say the rooms are small and hot, we would often leave our baby stroller outside the room we were in because there is barely any room. Every one else in the office seemed nice I don’t think we ever had an issue with anyone being rude."
"I am so grateful I found this practice. Erin has been amazing with both my babies. She truly takes the time with her patients, listens to all concerns and doesn’t rush the visits. Thank you for respecting parents choice. We will be patients for life."
"The admin staff were friendly and it was easy to get an appointment quickly. However, the office is very dated and lacking the energy that is standard in a pediatric clinic. I just moved to the area and was encouraged by the high ratings that this would be an exceptional facility, but I was overall disappointed with the clinic and my experience. I am a first time mom with an infant and the environment was not welcoming for me or my little. I think the practice might be better suited for older children and those looking to get quick care."
