A Rapid Income Tax

"Do NOT use this company!! They are scamming customers! They told their client (a single mother and immigrant) that she had to pay $220 for them to do her taxes, and then she was told that there is $390 deducted from her return, that is a "bank processing fee." The client contacted her bank to confirm that there was such a fee. The bank, of course, said there is no fee. When the client called A Rapid Income Tax back to question it, the receptionist informed her that her boss (the owner of the estabilishment) is taking $390 as a fee since they are acting like a bank, and he is charging her "interest." Furthermore, when the client contested, the receptionist said, "well you already agreed to it." When the client said that she had agreed when they told her that HER bank was charging her the money, because she was confident that she could call and deal with her bank. When she indicated that she was knowling misled and her consent was therefore invalid, the receptionist became angry and demanded "Well, what do you want me to do about it!?" The client is calling the IRS to report the fraud, but please please please avoid using this place!"

"Have been going here for years after being referred by several friends and family. Jennifer has done my taxes while I’ve worked at several jobs that rendered W2 forms or more complex forms rendered by Uber and Uber Eats. Jennifer has also been successful in submitting my 1098 while I was in school and forms for stocks that I definitely know nothing about as well as healthcare forms. Whatever I’ve needed, the ladies here have always been willing to help me to the best of their ability and if for whatever reason they were unsure, they’d always call the IRS themselves to be safe. While they normally don’t take too long, it’d probably be best to not go when you’re in a rush. They have convenient hours, staying open late during the week as well as Saturday. Taxes can be scary and I’m so glad I can rely on them. Highly recommend!"

"I went in to have them prepare my tax return. The lady was nice but never gave me the confidence that she knew what she was doing very well. Their office doesn't know Uber tax policies and the lady did not know about a couple of other forms that could apply to my taxes. When I questioned her level of expertise and expressed the little confidence I had that they would do this right, the supervisor stepped in, got frustrated and escalated the situation. Then the owner came, did the same thing, escalated the situation even more and asked me to leave. Very rude and unprofessional. I wasted an hour and a half there (the owner had told me on the phone that it would take 30 mins) but I'm glad that I didn't let them screw up my tax return. You don't play with people's money like that."
