"Maddening. That is the only word that can describe our experience of getting our son tested. We were first told that he would need six 2 hour sessions. That is what we agreed to. At least four of the sessions were cut considerably short. We were told by the employee administering the tests that more sessions would not be necessary. Low and behold, he ended up needing NINE sessions because the previous ones were cut 20-30. We were then told that we would not have to pay for those extra sessions because they had originally told us six. The psychologist made the call that the sessions be cut short...and that is why we needed so many more. It's ridiculous. Then we were charged random charges of $850 for bogus charges. STAY FAR AWAY. If I could get negative stars, I would."
"Very dedicated and caring professionals. Best practice that I have ever taken my children to. Testing is extremely thorough and greatly helped my children get the help they needed therapeutically at Neurohealth. Dr. Philipps’ school advocacy services were instrumental in getting each of my children the help they needed academically at school."
"Fully agree with the other 1 Star reviews here. This place is unethical at best and out to milk you dry. They will make you sign a credit card authorization agreement to charge your credit card for balances due, which seems reasonable. However, they will not inform you that they will charge your card whenever they want and for however much they decide. They have charged us for made-up appointments in addition to hours upon hours of "interpretation" when their fee statements says this is included in their sessions. I am in process disputing claims with our insurance company and considering if there is fraud going on here. BEWARE! Please find another office who will care about you and your loved ones."
"I advise all parents/patients to read the reviews for this place carefully and consider going anywhere else. Our experience to date has included: -failure to properly bill our insurance -failure to address those denials -charge our credit card thousand of dollars for unknown charges despite insurance informing them we are not responsible for charges until they submit the billing correctly -- this credit card was never authorized for charges with their office -failure to release medical records within the timeframe required by federal law after written request was made -failure to provide an itemized statement upon request per the Illinois Fair Billing Act -They did provide a general billing statement that did not include any of the payments they ran on our unauthorized credit card -while the front desk tries to help, they are not in a position to assist with these matters, I have never received a call back/response when I have left messages with the front desk or on voicemail or when I sent letters. To date a manage has never called me on their own or at my request as I have attempted to resolve these concerns with their office -the billing to my insurance is more than what is standardly billed at other offices per my discussions with 2 other neuropsychologists."
"Highly disappointed in this facility. They wanted us to sign a form to authorize credit card payment without our authorization for any charges. I refused to sign this form. I told them I would pay on the spot or receive statements to pay them. But they forced us to sign this form prior to the consult or else we will not be seen at all. I'm very cautious with this facility as I've seen a lot of negative feedback from this place about their billing and this is so true! They are insisting to make a copy of our credit card which we decline. Lesson here - read fine prints before signing any forms."
