"The staff that I communicated with is great. However, the company is horrible. I never receive bills until what they say is the 4th or 5th. I finally get a phone message that I return and pay my bill, no problem. Then, another bill for $11 saying final. I'm like, what? I immediately look up my account, that I paid on the phone and it says $0.00. Again, paid! Then I get a collections notice. I call and they say my card was bad. Funny I have used the same card hundreds of times with no issue. They said they couldn't leave a message. Funny they did before. I look through my phone. No calls from their number, my mailbox is empty. What? Now I have to deal with a collection agency because this company is the worst!!!! I have never had issues like this in my life with any company. I don't care how nice the employees are when speaking to me, the company is horrible and so very unethical at a whole new level. Run from them. Fast!"
"Scott Savage and the Medex team are top notch. Easy to schedule. Scott did a great job helping us understand the brace needed, order the exact right one, and then he spent time with us making sure fit was perfect. You don't think about how important it is to have a brace fit right. It's harder than you think. Scott did a great job making sure the fitting was custom so not only would the brace do its job, but that it would be as comfortable as possible when we walked out the door. He truly cares about his patients. Thank you"
"My doc prescribed me rigid frame knee braces. Some lady came to my home, measured me, and was supposed to deliver them, but it turned into this huge hoopla. She recommended some other brace for patellar tracking, when that's not an issue for me. Instead of having the prescribed braces delivered, I ended up having to go all the way north three times to meet with the orthotist, Scott. The first time he didn't have what was prescribed, never even ordered it. He got me to get the doctor to prescribe something different: a wrap around brace. Second time he didn't even have what HE wanted and had gotten the doctor to prescribe. The third time, nothing fit right despite multiple measuring sessions. Throughout these appointments and multiple emails back and forth, there was some weird stuff going on. He had this strange elitism about "sports braces" and mentioned multiple times about how I was "too good" for them. He said I wouldn't like them and wouldn't wear them?? And he ignored my concerns about eczema, MCAS, dysautonomia, and metal allergies. He also said that I didn't have genu recurvatum, but instead I had "back kneeing." This and knee hyperextension are all different terms for the exact same thing!! He further said this was due to "posture" and "habit," which is absolutely incorrect: it's due to my genetic connective tissue disorder. It's beyond my control and there's nothing that could have prevented it. To say otherwise is harmful. I finally threw in the towel when I realized how stressed I was about both my past and upcoming interactions with Scott. Even writing this review has me stressed and I can feel my blood pressure spiking. I had straight up asked him via email what the exact metals were in the braces he wanted to put me in, and he never answered. He just said "hypoallergenic," which doesn't answer the question and only refers to nickel, which I'm not even allergic to. I couldn't trust him. Scott seems very nice and I think he means no harm, but he has a very strong personality and maybe ADHD. He thinks he knows best, even more so than the doctor or patient. I didn't feel listened to and he's just straight up wrong about some things. He needs to respect the experts and not blame patients. By the way, Scott, I got some rigid braces. I'm wearing AND loving them."
"Brenda and Scott are fabulous. 5 star attention. They got me exactly what I needed and made me feel great along the way. High quality braces and this really cool cold pad machine. You couldn’t ask for a better experience if you need high quality ortho gear."
"I unknowingly got ankle brace on my emergency visit which is 3-4 times expensive (almost $300). Looks like there are good braces for below $100. And they screwed my address and send to collection. When I call to discuss they were so rude to talk and just hung out. Looks like they just want to make money through collections agency. Avoid medical express if possible for medical equipments!!!"
