Foundations For Change

"I was given 5 visits through EAP at my work. They connected me with this company because I was told they were accepting new patients and doing in office visits. I made an appointment after a couple of emails back and forth and provided them with the authraziton code for them to be paid for the first five visits. They told me that they needed my insurance information before seeing me. The truth is they wouldn't need my insurance information until after the first five visits through my job. I then received an email stating that they no longer had a therapist available to help me through the program and no availability. How can they have no availability after I already had an appointment? I called my EAP help line and they were in agreement with the insurance thing. They didn't need my insurance info until after the first five visits. I will no longer be trying to go through Foundations for Change not now or in the future because to me it appears they're more concerned about getting paid than getting people the help they need. Because of my experience with Foundations for Change I personally wouldn't recommend them. To me the experience should have been more about getting in for an appoimtment and starting treatment to help me and instead they made it about insurance even though I have five free visits through my work before having to use my own insurance."

"Can't comment on their actual treatment since I wasn't able to actually speak to someone. Called for an appointment, had to leave a message. OK fine. They called back two days later to ask some initial questions and said someone would call to make an appointment. Why can't we just set one now but OK fine. Next day received a call to set up an appointment for the following Friday. Showed up for my appointment. Door is locked to the building so you have to call the appropriate suite from a box outside. Called 7 times over 15 minutes and no one answered. Called the main office number, no one answered. Voicemails only. Since I left that last voicemail over a week ago did not receive a call back to reschedule or even acknowledge that I called. Now it's back to trying to find a different therapist."
