"My husband and I were just married here on October 19th! Lynn was amazing! She helped make sure my day went as planned! The chapel is breath taking and the perfect location for a wedding! Affordable too!"
"Gorgeous setting for a wedding out in the country! Quaint chapel holds around 120 people or so. Beuatiful inside. Nearby pavilion is available for your wedding reception when the ceremony is done. The large lawn and various period buildings around make for a rustic old time setting for your special event."
"I had my wedding here over the weekend and I just wanted to post my review after seeing a couple negative reviews. From the beginning Lynn was easy to work with and explained rules and details about what to expect throughly. She reiterated that the contracted time was firm and to be sure on the timeline before signing the contract. For this reason I allowed extra time before and after the ceremony to allow for set up and getting ready. Because of this the day ran very smoothly and never once did I feel like Lynn was being rude or unaccommodating. The chapel is beautiful and as long as you understand the rules and plan ahead you will not have any issues with Lynn."
"This is a very cool little white church. We were in the church for about 2 hours total. After the ceremony as the couple left the church they rang the church bell. I would highly reccomend using the church for a smaller wedding. Maybe under 30 guests. I am unsure exactly how many the church will hold. I am also unsure how much they charge to rent the church out. The chuch is very old and was moved to this location."
"My cousin got married here this weekend, and I was her maid of honor, so I had a played a huge role in the flow of the day. The wedding coordinator for the day, Lynn, was treacherous from the moment we arrived. Friday evening she appeared to be flexible and helpful, and even agreed to the timeline we mentioned to her for the following day. Saturday was a completely different story. We arrived at our agreed time, and she refused to let us in. She went as far as dangling the keys in front of the bride’s father’s face and taunting him with them while mocking us. The “security guard” for the day was equally as awful to be around. Due to their unwillingness to work with us even after the plan was discussed with them, we had no choice but to have the guests wait for over an hour and a half and start the wedding even later. At the end of the evening my family did not receive their deposit back, but the coordinator would not tell them why and even became hateful with the bride’s parents. For a site that hosts weddings, the old peace chapel/Daniel Boone home property was completely rude and not flexible at all. I would not recommend this vendor to anyone for their wedding day. They created an already stressed bride to stress even more over the flow of the day. If you have ever planned a wedding, you know that it is quite difficult to keep things rolling and to coordinate 100+ people, and these people made it even more difficult. As a wedding vendor, I understand there are rules that have to be followed, and we did so, but as a vendor you also have to be flexible and accommodating to the people using your service. The bride and groom are not any less married due to this experience of course, but they will remember this day for the rest of their lives, and it’s disappointing to know that two people I love very much will have this awful memory of the happiest day of their lives."
