"My 4 stars are for Dr Yanes, the other one if for the staff. I really love Dr Yanes and I switch my family to him because he is genuinely caring and he identifies himself with us. As for the staff they are very inattentive and they really make an effort to get you off the phone as soon as possible. No signs of being helpful. They do not answer their phones on Fridays although according to their website and google says they work from 8-12pm and do not get back to you when you leave messages."

"Dr. Yanes himself is awesome! I have been going to him since 2019, and have felt very comfortable with him. He is attentive and very personable. He usually sees me pretty quickly around my appointment time, and is efficient in getting to the point. He's even called me after hours to follow up, and provided me with his direct cell phone for any questions/concerns. I really appreciate Dr. Yanes! On the other hand, the office staff at the Westover Hills location are TERRIBLE! I've noticed an obvious decline in the level of service provided by office staff since 2019. At first I thought they were short staffed due to the pandemic, but now in 2023 the same issues are still going on: - 1) no response or untimely response to messages sent on the patient portal. Inadvertently letting patient maintenance prescriptions to expire because no one in office was responding to written messages or phone calls - 2) staff making obvious mistakes on converting lab orders from Quest to Labcorp that me, the patient, had to physically go to the office multiple times to get my lab order corrected - 3) it takes forever to get someone on the phone if you call in, and you will get put on hold immediately if you do get through - 4) front desk staff in general does not have a pleasant demeanor - 5) it takes awhile for my test results to be scanned into the system on my patient portal. I had to request my results be uploaded so that I could track my own health - 6) When I recently asked for a records release form to be emailed to me so I can have some of my records sent to a different provider, I was told "we don't have access to email like that. you can print your own [incomplete] records from the patient portal, or you can physically come into the office to sign the release form." In 2023, they don't have access to email a records release form to me?!?!? I may look into seeing Dr. Yanes at another office because the office staff at this particular practice make for a horrible patient experience."
"The office itself is clean and spacious with a moderate number of single, padded chairs. While everyone's time may vary, I've found about 30-45 an average wait time to be taken back to see the doctor. The back examination area is well kept and sanitary. I find communicating with this office, through phone calls or emails through my patient portal to be a disaster. Though the patient portal says they'll do their best to get back with you in 48 business hours, I routinely find the wait to be 3 weeks plus, if at all. Not acceptable in my view. I personally found the office staff and Dr. Yanes is difficult to contact and not sensitive to my needs. A lack of response is a continuing theme and source of great frustration."
