"10/13 - update- QCBHA is still harassing me by sending me letters advising of past due balance when Brandon, another owner, advised I had no balance. This has been going on for months now. I've been informed Dan with QCBHA does billing, so please, Dan, stop this. You've done enough. Continuation of previous review because Google ran out of room for me to add this latest update. QCBHA refunded the charge, refund posted, then today, AGAIN, QCBHA took money out of my debit account without my approval. Not once have I ever signed up for auto pay. Dan told me the charge was refunded then after my updated initial review it appears they took the money again. I do not have the option on patient side to remove banking info or turn off auto pay, as I NEVER signed up for it. I will be contacting my bank this time and reaching out to the necessary parties to ensure this doesn't happen to other patients. This feels like extremely fraudulent and predatory behaviour. UPDATE: After speaking to my bank I was advised QCBHA must be charging my updated card that I never saved to my account as my bank said expired cards aren't able to be charged. I no longer feel safe financially or emotionally to continue being a patient/ customer at QCBHA. UPDATE 2: Google doesn't accept my photo, but my QCBHA account doesn't reflect the latest fraudulent charge and when my counselor called to try to "save the sale" she advised it didn't show on their end either. Again, I pay my bills, but I don't like when my money is stolen from me. QCBHA has all but confirmed they have no auto pay policy. And that you signing the paperwork to let them charge insurance, and agree to pay copay is good enough, albiet in that paperwork there's no mention of automatic withdrawal. I emphatically do not reccomend QCBHA. After three years on and off as a "patient" I'm left feeling financially violated, gaslit, and like a customer by this office. After this experience I'm not sure if I'll ever feel comfortable getting counseling/ therapy again. Update150: After they wrongfuly took money again they're now saying i didnt pay and owe it still? My bank statement shows they already have it. And a statement they provided 9/1 says that appt was paid, but 9/11 received a new statement saying i owe for the SAME appt. Questionable ethics. I was ready to wash my hands of this situation but am now feeling as if I should see if I have other options if this continues."
"I am a current patient with QCBH and have been seeing a provider for about a month or two. After my first couple appointments, my debit card was charged without my consent. I signed paperwork when I did intake that stated I would pay my bill and I will, but I never authorized QCBH to enroll me in autopay. I reached out to my therapist and she advised that only QCBH can turn it off or on when they want. She said that she turned it off for my card. After my spouse had a similar situation happen with billing and then contacted their office and spoke to Dan, he was refunded even after saying he didn’t want the refund at this point. Then after updating his review on the business, both of our accounts have been charged yet again without our consent. My invoice from the appointment states that the bill is due on 9/20 and QCBH are charging my card fraudulently for a second time. I will be calling them tomorrow and updating my review based off of their response and behavior."
"This place is amazing. I loved going here. Everyone is so kind and so welcoming. I’ve had no issues with this place or concerns. They really do great work here"
"I started my sessions when everything was telehealth due to Covid restrictions. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it not being in person, but both of the amazing therapists that were working with me made me feel very comfortable. Now I do a mix of both and the session rooms are also unbelievably calm and comfortable. The therapists and the atmosphere are absolutely wonderful. It is obvious that they care so much for us and will go above and beyond to make sure we are seen and heard. They are also very flexible with the scheduling which is really good for someone like me who is extremely busy and may for a time did not think that I could actually have time for a session. These folks are amazing and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else."
"Ownership is something else. Was a patient in 2021-22, left and returned in 2023. Card information saved as default on account is expired by over a year but kept up with statements as they rolled through. NEVER this year had I signed up for auto pay or saved updated card info, yet QCBHA still managed to charge my expired debit card. After speaking to Dan (who advised he was the owner) this morning, Sunday (two days after leaving a voicemail mid afternoon during business hours) on the phone who undoubtedly confirmed they not only somehow charged an expired card his only follow up was that payment is due at time of service and they could refund it now, but would still owe at later date. (doesn't do much when account was overdraft due to this move by QCBHA) When asked if it was normal practice for QCBHA to take money out of patients debit accounts without permission and or explicit consent, Dan advised that he could not disclose that. His only rebuttal was that a document was signed that at time of service it is agreed that copay is due. Again, no problem paying my bills but A) statement for appointment is never received until 2AM following day after appointment B) I've already spoken to Dan (July 14th '23) letting him know if possible I prefer to pay when my paychecks hit which is typically following Wednesday after appointments, no issues at that time. I asked Dan today if that document meant an agreement to autopay, and his answer was we have the ability to turn it on and off. A follow up I was never answered was, at what point did it get turned on as I never agreed to this and this had never been an issue before. I ultimately decided that it was best for them to keep the money as clearly Dan needed it due to how hastily it was taken out of my account and the delayed attempt to follow up. I was set to have monthly appointments with my provider but due to this situation and the response received from ownership, I'll have my appointment in September and probably will have to call it there. I'll miss my provider as she's quite great really, and has helped me heaps with getting through some major losses and life changes, but unfortunately that benefit is heavily outweighed by this situation. Especially since I know of another and this isn't an isolated incident with just me. Not only did Dan show me how little consent and authorization meant to him on the phone, his disposition sent home I was just another customer to QCBHA. Again, some of the providers are great if you can get past what sure feels like fraudulent debit charges. Update: Received another phone call from the owner of QCBHA this afternoon, Dan, who called to let me know that this issue was my and my banks fault as they should have never approved the charge to an expired card because in his words "previously it declined but this time it went through". He ended the phone call letting me know he'd refunded me the charge, but what good does that do since the charge already posted? Dan never addressed the biggest issue at hand, consent/ approval, and chuckled at the notion if anything. I never approved and or authorized QCBHA to charge my card in the first place and certainly never signed up for auto pay. How did auto-pay get turned on on my account without updated information? As Dan said, THEY have the ability to turn it on and off. Not once over the past two days of speaking on the phone with Dan was I offered an apology, right off the bat it's "you owe at time of service, you signed the paper" and "it's your banks fault". Perhaps this is naive of me, but this wouldn't be an issue if my account was never magically turned on to "auto-pay" without my approval. The other 'big' issue I have in regards to this, is after yesterdays conversation I looked up on the ILSoS website the ownership of QCBHA and discovered the Dan I've been speaking to must be Daniel Campbell. I was a patient of Daniel in 2021 but asked to be transferred to someone else in office due to being uncomfortable. Just leaves one with certain feelings in how this played out."
