Reviews
"Really interesting place with nice nature trails and historical buildings. On weekends have people on period costume explaining and demonstrating milling. Also has nice picnic areas and modern restrooms. It is a nice county park. They also have a nice recently renovated playground. My grandkids loved it. There are also nice trails for hiking. The wild flowers along the hiking trails are beautiful!"
"Playground entertained for the kids. Picnic area was clean and spacious for our crowd. We observed several people bringing dogs so that looks friendly. Bathrooms were better than most in the area. Lovely experience over all."
"Amazing park. My kids and I enjoyed it greatly even though it was only 35 out."
"Interesting little spot with some educational buildings (when open) and around 2 miles of path, give or take - some out in the open near water, and some in forest and over fen. Bring shoes you might not mind getting muddy if you go exploring as there can be spots of wetness. Read about "fish ladders" and listen to all of the life of the frog pond. Sit on a bench or stand out on a viewing dock and enjoy nature!"
"Wonderful place to go and connect with local history and nature. Building open on weekends from 1 to 4 from May through October with tours and the first Saturdays actually grinding corn in the mill! Beautiful grounds for connecting with nature too."
