"Cannot get anyone to answer the phone at Brownsville or Harlingen the automated machine tells you to select 2 for appoinments and than disconnects your call at both locations ????"

"I had an appointment in November. I waited 4 hours to be seen! Sadly, there was an elderly man ahead of me, on oxygen, and he was waiting as long as I was. Also, a woman in a wheelchair came in after me, she too, was on oxygen, and was supposedly seen, sometime after me! I saw a very sympathetic nurse practitioner; my progress notes we’re supposed to be sent to my cardiologist. They were not! Some 6 weeks later, after a phone call from Benchmark to set up another appointment, the front office gal said she would send those notes; at last check, they still hadn’t arrived at the cardiologist. I have an appointment scheduled for this Friday, January 27, at 9:30 am. This is my formal cancellation of that appointment, as I called Benchmark 9 times today to cancel, and the nice young man who answered the prescription line said he did not have access to cancel my appointment. He was the only one that answered, despite my calling different extensions, different locations at different times. There is no email listed to make contact. Oh, and I saw Dr. Rodriguez for about 3 minutes at my initial appointment, several years back. The rest have been with different folks."

"They have changed my appointment 3 times. My insurance company can not get my prescription renewed."

"This is the second time that my husband has been given an appointment, we drive to Harlingen from South Padre to be informed that not only is there no dr to see him,but it would be 2-3 hrs before one was available and also,apparently its our responsibility to call to make sure of the appointment. We are on our way back to the island with me doing a search for a new pulmonary group."

"Dr. Rodriguez was very caring and explained his observations. His initial visit started me along a path of other consultations with specialists. Unfortunately, I do not believe the follow up care or options to see a nurse pratitioner or adequately conveyed. I was very disappointed that my follow up visit was not with him. More so as my costs are out of pocket and I take the day off to make my medical appointments."
