"Worst doctors ever! They push responsibility off onto either and make their patients in labor suffer all day for it. I took my daughter to the nearest hospital, which they are a part of, and they called her phone to yell at her for it. She was then left in labor all day after one of them said the would go break her water at 8am and never showed. When contacted, they said they were not going to leave all their office appointments to take care of one women in labor. The messages my daughter was getting from them were very unprofessional and rude. The nurses kept saying they felt bad for her and the whole situation was messed up. One of them finally showed up a little before 5pm to break her water and immediately left without saying anything. Shortly after, when she was fully dialated, she had to wait another 30 minutes for him to get back to the hospital. She will never use their office again and we make sure anyone we know considering them goes elsewhere."
"This is the most incompetent office staff I've ever encountered in my life! The doctors are great, but they did not hire those with medical knowledge."
"Just saw him in the hospital. I am a high risk patient someplace else but I was in horrible pain and had to go to the closest hospital instead of my normal hospital. They got my records and found out my health history. I got put on a toco and even though my contractions are low they are 7 minutes apart. He had the nerve to say no test needed to be taken and I didn't need to be checked just take some Tylenol, go home and wait. What a quack. Maybe if he spent less time on TV and writing books to focus on being a real doctor he wouldn't have so many bad reviews. Needless to say I got in touch with my true hospital and got seen for my emergency."
"Very disappointed and feeling like my time is not respected by Dr Idries Abdur-Rahman. He left before I could see him at my first visit because I was called into my acupuncture appointment 20 minutes late (no fault of my own) but I was told by staff that he would wait to see me. When I came out to the waiting room, the receptionist told me that he was gone for the day. So I rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I arrived at my 2nd appointment about 8 minutes early and I was asked to sign their new late policy sheet stating that there's a $25 late fee if you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours prior. The receptionist called my name 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to tell me that Dr Abdul-Rahman had to leave to do an emergency c-section. I understand that emergencies happen but twice in a row? Maybe if he gave his patients the same respect he wants, (late fee policy) he'd be more considerate of other's time."
"I've been going to Dr. I for prenatal visits. The first appointment I went to I arrived 10 min early and the office doors were still locked with nobody in the office yet. The second apt the nurse took me back and started my workup, 20 min later the doctor comes in and tells me he lost his keys at home and was running late. Both those times I brushed it off but after today I am highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism at this office. I had a scheduled appointment at 9 am and I received a text message at 815 saying my appointment was canceled. I called the office and was informed that my appointment was scheduled as "pending" because they didnt know if the doctor would be in the office or not. I've had this appointment for 4 weeks and at no point was I told it was pending. On top of the issues I've had with scheduling appointments, there is little communication on test results. Often never receiving phone call. The only way I hear back is to bring it up in my next visit. I've lost my trust in this doctor, after this pregnancy I will be finding a new provider."
