"My friends and I went out on the boat on July 15. It was our second time going out with Captain Jeff and his shipmate Jessika. Just like the first time we really enjoyed ourselves. We drank a few brews, listened to music, and caught lots of fish. More than anything, it’s nice to experience good times with good people. You almost don’t even care if you catch any fish. Jeff and Jessika are great. Beautiful down to earth folks and we really love going out there with them. Heading out, we played music and watched the Chicago skyscrapers sink into the ground. No cellphone service way out there, so we’re just out there enjoying uninterrupted time together. We all draw numbers to determine the rotation and for the second time we went through the rotation twice. Everyone got to haul in fish. I almost didn’t want us to write this review right now because we want to book another outing in September and I selfishly want to go out with Jeff and Jessika again. By writing this review now, they may get booked by more people. But I decided to write it now anyway, because they deserve it. Thank you, Captain Jeff and Jessika! "This was our third trip, and second with Captain Jeff. Each has been better than the last! Captain Jeff and first mate Jessica are the most knowledgeable, warm, funny, and enjoyable crew you could ever imagine. If there weren’t any fish landed, they would be worth the trip alone. However, Captain Jeff wouldn’t have it that way. He gets them on the line! And, we landed some monster Lake Trout and several Coho Salmon throughout the day, reaching our limit on trout by mid morning! I took my college age son and his best buddy from high school, and having requested Captain Jeff, it was like a reunion all day. Great fishing, great friendship, great memories. Highly recommended."

"I want to preface this with the fact that I’ve been charter fishing every single year for the last 10 years. My family usually goes in Destin Florida, Orange Beach, or Mexico so this was our first time out on Lake Michigan to fish trout. We are originally from Arkansas and spend a lot of our free time fishing anything that will bite! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with King Charters. The price of the trip was on par with any gulf trip we’ve ever taken. But besides the price, it was the fishing! We only took a group of three this year. On the days leading up to our 6AM July fishing trip, captain Kevin was happy to answer any of my questions through text or a phone call. Question about weather? Check. Question about parking when you arrive? Check. He was polite and quick to respond each time. Once we got out to our fishing spot, we were on them from the get go. We limited out really quickly and we limited out with some MONSTERS! After that, we were able to do a little catch and release before heading back to the dock. Once we started our ride in, Kevin and Jeff cleaned the boat spotless and also cleaned all of our fish for us so that we could take them home. The first mate and the captain made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The bathroom was very clean. The fist mate (Jeff) was knowledgeable, VERY funny, and extremely helpful too! Captain Kevin was overall very nice, genuinely happy, funny, and really freaking good at his job. You can tell he cares about his boat and he truly cares about the overall experience of his clients. If you’ve never been out on Lake Michigan or even if you have and just love fishing.. this was the trip of a LIFETIME! I can’t recall a single gulf trip that was better than this one. Give Kevin a call and don’t forget that it’s standard to leave a 20% tip on a charter boat for the captain to divvy up between his crew members. Many people don’t think of Chicago when they think about great fishing, but they should!!! We will be back with King Fisher as soon as we can get out there again!! Emma"

"Captain Jeff made our trip an awesome experience. He was very knowledgeable about fishing and helped us hit our limit on lake trout within the first 2 hours. Captain Jeff was not only an excellent fisherman, but he also had a great personality. Jeff really cares about his customers and makes the trip much more than a fishing excursion with his friendly and outgoing personality. Would definitely recommend Kingfisher for anyone interested in a Lake Michigan fishing charter. Captain Jeff was the best!"
