Hyatt House Dallas/Addison

"DO NOT BOOK HERE- If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. Our experience at the Hyatt House Addison 4900 Edwin Lewis Dr with Tasha/Lakisha Davis was the worst thing ever. I called and tried to book a room and she was rude and kept putting me on hold and couldn’t provide any real information. I should’ve took it as a sign to not book. I proceeded to book a room online because it was faster. I arrive around 5:00, check-in was supposedly available starting 3:00. There were several guests waiting around to check-in who informed us that they were told that no rooms were available to accommodate their 3:00 reservation. I also was told that there were no rooms available and I’d have to wait an additional hour. I waited and got the hotel key roughly an hour later. When entering the room, I noticed that the room didn’t fit the description online as far as the number of beds I had chosen and it had an awful smell like moldy furniture and old carpet. I go back to the front to try to change the room and I see that Tasha/Lakisha is outside smoking a cigarette and then she runs back to the front desk when she sees me approaching the counter. She told me she couldn’t give a different room and that she couldn’t give us our money back even though we chose to not stay at the hotel. With the dirty rooms and horrible customer service, I’m surprised they are still in business."

"The area where this hotel is located is safe and organized. Customer service was pretty good! The room was clean and in good condition except for one bathroom that did not have shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. In the other bathroom, the shower, the temperature didn’t work, or it was too hot or too cold. If you have a back pain condition, don’t come to this hotel because the back pain is going to kill you the next day."

"I am shocked how Hyatt brand has degraded themselves with such low quality rooms, staff is nice but theres rooms lack cleanliness. Phones dont work to contact front desk and there is no water to drink, overall such a waste of money. I really hope Hyatt looks into this branch and either renovate or shut it down. Pls don’t book, go for hilton or Marriott near by. Much more worth the penny."

"This was an awesome place. Everything was so clean. The breakfast was great. Our only issues were the small jets landing in the airport next door at 6:00am. We didn't use the pool but my kids used the basketball court."

"I have stayed at lots of Hyatt locations across the U.S. and overseas. Love the brand. This location does NOT live up to the brand whatsoever. Front office staff was nice and helpful upon arrival. That was the bright spot in an otherwise unpleasant stay with too many observations to note here. I had a colleague that stayed at the nearby Marriott. When I went to pick her up for a meeting, I was struck by its high quality and left to wonder why Hyatt would diminish their brand in such a competitive Dallas market."
