"NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER visit this hotel. First off, the bathroom in room 209 is NASTY. The tub is very rusty. There are bed bugs and roaches. My daughter loves the beach, and so I took my family there over the weekend for a one day visit. As I type this review, today, Thursday, my kid is still sick. She was bitten by bed bugs and she's experiencing severe skin irritation and she has blisters all over her body. We had to trash ever single clothing we took in that room. When we checked out of the hotel on Monday I notified the receptionist that there were bed bugs and roaches, because we killed a few; she smiled and said "ok we will take a look". It seemed to me they are aware of the ugly and unpleasant situation in their rooms. THIS HOTEL IS BAD AND NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY, NOT FOR EVEN AN HOUR."

"My aunt and uncle got me a room 1 day ahead of them. Then when they checked in the next day I got moved to another room. They requested ahead of time before they prepaid the room to have the 2 rooms next to each other. Anyway, when I moved to my new room checked everything but the back of the bathroom door where I hung my pajamas. So when I was moving that day the 2 housekeepers asked if I was leaving and I told them I am moving to the first floor. To make the long story short after we came back at night from our touring of Galveston and was preparing to go to bed I couldn't find my pajama. So I went to the front desk and told her the story and she said there's nothing at the back and to come back in the morning when the housekeeping supervisor comes in. They already checked someone in my old room. The next day I asked the front desk again. This time they told me that no one found a pajama in my old room. Really! I don't think the people that checked in there would take it. I even think they would have complained that someone is still staying in that room because of a pajama hanging. So, my question to them was where did it go? All I did was to leave that room 309 and move to room 121. I say, someone took it and said oh, this is a nice pajama and i will just was it. That's the way I look at it. Also, both of my rooms I keep finding roaches. The same at the dining room. I had to kill the one at the dining room because it was about to head to the breads. I'm disappointed of my 2 nights stay."

"A day before going there I read the reviews and got worried but in general I had a good experience. The building is old but the room was tidy and clean, the AC worked perfectly, the breakfast was okay. It is a perfect location if your plan is to spend time at the beach because it is right across the street. There are no many restaurants close (if you want to walk), but plenty in the downtown."

"The room had a weird smell. Turned the air on and it made it worse. Water damage on the walls that was just painted over. There was a lip on the floor leading to the bathroom that my 12 year old ripped half of her toenail on. Lamps were rusty. Our door didn’t lock properly. At one point we couldn’t get it to lock at all. ROACHES! Roaches in the bathroom. Roaches in the hall and on the elevator wall. 2 rusted water heaters laying in the parking lot. We left feeling very dirty!"

"The hotel itself is in decently nice condition however the parking situation is absolutely crazy on the days that are fully packed. The folks behind the counter are not friendliest they're generally there to provide you with the keys and that's about it I didn't even really get a smile. That being said the room was clean the maid service was fantastic they definitely took care of us. The lady that was in the breakfast area definitely cleaned and served very quickly however on the slower morning she was talking on her phone while cleaning the tables and it's not really overly professional but hey I can overlook that. The pool area is definitely pretty nice however especially when there are children in the building the floors get very wet and only on the first floor is that ever noted and it can definitely get very slick which can cause lots of issues for people like myself who are handicapped. Overall I wouldn't mind coming back to stay again but again probably the parking situation having to walk from alternate lots to get into the building especially when I'm handicapped doesn't give me the best possible feel."
