"After moving here from Las Vegas, Nevada, I needed to find a doctor to help me make the decision at 49 if a hysterectomy was the right choice for me ! I’ve had endometriosis that’s been both painful and along with heavy periods that at times lasted almost 2 weeks , she had convinced me this was the correct decision. In October of 2021, she performed my surgery at the Trinity Moline hospital! She was wonderful and it turned out my uterus was 4 times the normal size and 4 years prior my doctor in Las Vegas had left a piece of metal inside while tying my tubes . Operation was a success. However recovery was a much longer road than I was told or expected. I’ve always been VERY ACTIVE , but after this surgery it DID take its toll on me . Be sure and read up before you make this decision! She’s a wonderful doctor and she will take her time to talk to you . However I would still make sure you read up before making this huge decision. It’s put me into menopause early and it’s been quite tougher with sleep and energy. Taking the estrogen supplements daily have made my night sweats 80% better !"
