"I’d give them 1 star if it wasn’t for Dr Page and the midwife Pam. They’re the only ones who made me feel welcomed there. Otherwise they don’t answer the phone and the communication isn’t that great. They tell you they’ll call you one day and totally don’t and it’s happened like so often I’m about ready to call Iowa City to get my tubal instead."

"I am a young girl who has suffered from severe period pain my whole life. I had gone to many doctors requesting laparoscopic surgery to diagnose what I KNEW was endometriosis- only to be shut down and blamed for my small weight. I first came to Dr. Hirsch for a completely unrelated issue, but was having some abnormal pain as well. After a severe pain spell I called the office and was immediately seen for an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech at the clinic is a gem and a doll and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I was sent to UIowa for further examination and I was once again shut down and the doctor there refused to perform surgery to remove painful ovarian masses. Less than a month later I ended up at the ER in Dubuque and saw Dr. Hirsch the next day- I told her to do the surgery now and she did. She listened when I said I was in pain and ended up performing a life changing surgery to remove 10 years of undiagnosed endometriosis damage as well as removing the ovarian growths WHILE SAVING THE OVARY (something the oncologists at UIowa said they couldn't do). Dr. Hirsch's compassion, knowledge, and skills saved my life as well as my fertility. I am living a life free of pain for the first time ever and it feels unreal. Endometriosis does not discriminate based on weight, and Dr. Hirsch is the only doctor who ever took my very real symptoms seriously. Unfortunately Dr. Hirsch was out of town for another small procedure I had to do and I was stuck with a different female doctor at the clinic who was cold and unfriendly. But, if you ever have the chance to be seen by Dr. Hirsch, consider yourself God's favorite. I talked about her across town and she was very well known amongst all women who were dying to get an appointment with her specifically. Every time I called the practice I felt like the only person there- they always made me a priority which they did not have to, and I love them for that. I would walk back to Iowa to have Dr. Hirsch continue my OB/GYN care. Bravo to my beloved Dr. Hirsch for being the best doctor Dubuque has to offer."

"I have been to several OBGYNs and was dismissed by all... I was even laughed at by one. Dr. Page was the FIRST to actually take my concerns seriously and address the situation. As someone who dreads going to these visits, he made me feel welcome, important and comfortable. I have spent the last several years feeling defeated and this is the first time I have felt hopeful. The relief that brings truly makes me want to cry happy tears! HIGHLY recommend!!"

"Refused to see me when i was pregnant bc of my weight, then I tried getting my daughter in to be seen bc of severe cramping and issues with her period, she was double insured. i got transferred to the insurance lady and she was RUDE i asked a simple question about only charging primary insurance and she gor even more rude and snippy. I cried and hung up."

However all of that changed when i met Dr. Heirch !! hands down the BEST MD IN DUBUQUE !! Very informative. Very personable. Just an overall great MD.I’d give 10 stars if i could .
