"I have been attending the harris center for almost 3 years now and my experience with them has been great. They have assisted with everything that I needed for my mental health including medication and specialized therapy which was accommodated to my diagnoses. They have helped me with getting a form of health insurance which has allowed me to get regular check up from pcp to dental including surgeries that was covered. They have been thorough with everything that I have ever needed. I would recommend them to anyone including my own family. This center allows you to have control over your own treatment which is my biggest thing."
"Ana is always amazing. Snacks provided with water. Wait Time pretty average with appointment. During first sessions alot of repetitive information asked wish they will take better notes so the next person can add on and not start over. There services are sufficient"
"Years ago my mom had been to many many doctors both in Mexico and here in Houston. None of them had been able to help her. Until someone recommended her to Harris health. They not only were able to figure out the best medications for her but they pretty much changed her life completely. She’s a whole different person. I myself just went through a VERY severe depression (most likely passed on from my mom). I also had gone to several doctors and they actually didn’t care to listen when I told them that the medications were not working. I finally broke down and went there literally begging for some help because I had a miserable existence at this point. They were extremely compassionate and actually cared about other aspects of my life like helping me get health insurance and getting me therapy. If the therapy is only 10 minutes long like someone mentioned in a negative comment, I would still be happy with them because 10 minutes is so much better than getting no help at all and the help is FREE or almost free! They cared so much more than any of the private doctors ever did. I was treated with compassion every step of the way. I was seen right away (there used to be hours long wait times when my mom first started going there) and although my first appointment was scheduled in two weeks they sent me to a walk in clinic where I was able to be seen the same day and I was started on medication. Dr. Amanpreet actually cared and consulted with me about which medications I would get because he was aware of all the different ones I had tried. I can’t emphasize enough how glad I am that I finally decided to go. I wish I had taken this step years ago before this got so bad. I’m happy to report that the medication is working and I’m already doing 90% better than I was when I went to see them. Please don’t wait, don’t let the negative reviews keep you from seeking help! 9 times out of 10 these are unreasonable people that take anything personal and want to discourage others from getting help. Thank you Harris Health!"
"They're horrible. The worse doctors I've ever had. They lie and say you get 1-hr long therapy sessions when they're 10-minutes. You tell your Dr for months your meds aren't working, yet they never change/modify them. You complain, and nothing happens whatsoever. I asked for my Medical Records, it took a month to get them and when I did, they're falsified and they left out 3/4 of them too. How is this clinic still operating and not shut down by the government is beyond me. I would give them negative stars if possible. Especially, dr Athavale, who should be in prison, he is sick and incompetent. And if you contact their "complaint" office, they're as useless as the staff and doctors at that clinic. They do absolutely nothing except waste more of my time."
"(had to edit my review because of the correction received. This place isnt as bad as it could be. The corrections office did get back with me after I made a formal complaint towards my case worker. I think there are some people who work within the field that dont understand the need for bed side manners, but they are not all bad. It does still take 2-3 appointments sometimes to get properly diagnosed and treated, and yes i still had to take off work, but I did get back into the system and was prioritized after we went through the secondary intake process. Patience is key, but you will get there and you will be seen.) I had been treated here for about 9 months, then my case worker got changed and the lady Ms Jackson was so awful in communicating with me. I couldnt get work off for the holidays and she would tell me if I kept having to reschedule they would drop my case. Eventually I got to the last time to schedule and she didnt even contact me or leave me a voicemail and my case got dropped. They dont work with you very well if you are an every day working person. The hours to try to get into your appointments require you to take the day off. I would be in the waiting room for 2 hours at a time sometimes. I really hate this place and I wish I had a better option as someone with no insurance."
