"I hired the Geek Squad/Flower Mound Best Buy, for a Home installation. Needed help as a senior. Activated laptop, small printer, and connect to wifi. I set up an appointment, they came in the given window time. The service tech was knowledgeable and friendly. My old MAC OS computer was very limited, browser problems, could not access some old files, and ready to recycle. NOW ONLINE ANY HAPPY ! And new things to learn..."
"I had two issues with my laptop: 1, My keyboard was unresponsive and 2, and data storage questions between hard drive and Cloud. Gabriel was very helpful and patient in fixing my keyboard and thoroughly explained my options on utilizing my storages. Only reason it’s 4star is because of the wait and there were other techs behind the counter while there was a long line of customers."
"I wish I looked at the reviews before making an appointment. It looks like this location is known for upcharging and not providing the best service but this time they refused to service us if we didn't purchase their yearly plan. The day before I went to the Geek Squad in Lewisville because my cooling fan on my lap was making a loud buzzing noise and Lewisville had an early appointment available. For free after opening the computer up they advised that we order a cooling fan, bring it back and it will cost $60 to replace. The next day the Flower Mound location had an opening for an appointment. My husband went in with the part expecting just an installation but know he was told they need to perform a diagnosis after the fan was installed to make sure it's cooling the computer. Does this make sense? If it doesn't cool do you buy another new fan or replace the computer? If it's not cooling in my eyes Geek Squad did not install the fan right. Of course it was going to cool but this was just a way for them to upcharge because it was going to cost $160 with the diagnosis or $200 for their yearly plan. My husband told them we only wanted the installation and they refused to service him, and stated it was their policy. He took it to Lewisville and they ended up only charging us $45."
"I bought a new cellphone (Samsung S20 FE) at Best Buy in January. And I got a protection plan via Geek Squad with it for $ 150 extra. Now end of April, I needed the insurance, because the screen of my phone is broken. But - I didn't want them to replace my phone ($ 200 deductible). I wanted them to fix it. Regarding to their website, this particular repair would cost me $ 60. After I drove 45 minutes to the Flower Mound location, they told me, that they can't fix this particular model. Because they can't get the parts for it. They only offered me the replacement for $ 200. So - in my opinion there is a difference between $ 60 and $ 200. It's a $ 140 difference! But - I paid the same money for the insurance with this phone model. They didn't tell me that they can't fix it before I bought it. And they really don't care. They had decent ratings and that why I took it. But now - I know they are not worth the money. Update: We contacted the BBB about this issue. But - Best Buy / Geek Squad is still refusing to fix the phone. They just don't care! They don't honor the contract! And - other companies (UbreakIfix) are able to get the parts and could fix my phone. Update 2: UbreakIfx was able to get the parts. They fixed my phone in no time. And I canceled the plan with Geek Squad. My advis: Don't use them! Don't give them your money. I really hope they go out of business soon."
"Pay for Total Tech Support. Geek Squad cannot get to me in store for 2 weeks. Tried on line and was told to give remote access and someone would use logmein and fix within 2 hours. Now 4 hours later. NOTHING and they show problem resolved."
