"Money minded and unprofessionals. There is no proper communication and questions being asked before filing, they go with their assumption and prepared draft. I almost missed my deductions from the tax filing, Once i reached out to them, they responded me back they filed based on my last year's details. It sounded so rude and lack of intelligence from the professionals working in the group. Professional i worked with is very rude professional from my experience. I wont recommend Mathews, CPA anymore or to my friends. They even started charging for preparing the draft."

"They are the worst tax preparer we have ever used. Lack of communication. I feel like I was being talked down to each time I called to talk to them. Zero explanation on anything that they do. They charged my bank account without any invoice or prior notification. It would be nice to know ahead of time if they are going to charge me for the service. I had to follow up with them multiple times to get a status on my 2021 tax return. On top of this, our 2020 tax return got audited by the IRS and now we owe more than $5,000. These were prepared by the Mathews Chacko team. I wrote them an email expressing my frustration with their service and seeking for their assistance, and I received an email from them telling me to pay the IRS. They pretty much can't help me even though they made the mistake in my tax return. That shows that they do not care about customer service nor my business. They can't even stand behind their own work. If they are going to claim something on my tax return that they should know require receipts, then they should ensured to tell us we need receipts for them to substantiate the claims they prepared on the tax return. I have used them for 3 years now and will not be coming back to this firm for my next tax return. Absolutely horrendous experience!"

"I reached out to Mathews CPA with a question about amending a previous year's tax return, and the answer was simple enough (for them, I'm not a tax pro and was in need of some help) that they took a few minutes to review the specifics and got back to me with information so that I could file it myself, and didn't charge me. Of course their time is valuable and they deserve to be compensated for it, but I think this speaks to excellent customer service. I will definitely be keeping them in mind for future needs."
