Reviews
"This is one of my regular stops when I need a beautiful view and an easy hike. The viewpoint is very easily accessible, and the walk to Bridalveil falls is a nice boardwalk with lots of shallow stairs. Note that in winter or other times the bathrooms may be closed."
"This state park is hidden gem that everyone should check out. Pikes Peak State Park was absolutely beautiful and scenic, and I had an great time hiking and exploring the park, especially the water falls. The park does not require a vehicle pass. Free is always great. The scenic lookout that's just a few hundred feet from the parking lot gives amazing views over the river and hillside below. From there, it's less than half a mile to Bridal Veil Falls, which is totally worth the short and not too difficult hike. I went in the winter, and it was beautiful, but I imagine is even better in the spring. Its only another short hike from the falls to the top of Pikes Peak. They have restrooms and seasonal concessions right near the parking lot."
"Wonderful experience. Definitely had my heart racing on the way up! But on the way day was a dream view! I’m happy the family and I could overcome our fear of heights."
"Nice park and based on the number of dogs (a lot) it's dog friendly. I enjoyed Effigy Mounds more but probably personal preference. Was worth stopping since we were driving past anyhow."
"Beautiful views over the Mississippi to Wisconsin. Best time to go would probably be early to mid October. Trails are well maintained and a comfortable hike."
