"This dog park is HUGE! It's not just a small enclosed field. It is essentially an entire forest preserve that is enclosed . The area around the lake has its own fence with a gate so your pups can't go in without you letting them in. Odin is our 8 month old German Shepherd Super mutt and I was nervous to trust him in such a big area.... But the people were SO friendly and tolerant of his "in progress" puppy manners. The older dogs taught him how to respect their boundaries and cues. It was GREAT for socializing! We have been back several times now since our first trip and it is becoming a new routine. Beware that it is muddy like really muddy... But that is to be expected as the ground thaws and hundreds of dogs run loose tearing it up. It doesn't bother us... But you might want to wear boots!"
"Absolutely phenomenal park. There are a couple small fenced areas, and then the larger dog area you enter from the parking lot is fully fenced (trust me, my husky mix and I checked). There's also a separate fenced off swimming hole area (frozen over, now). For any escape-prone or wanderer dogs be aware that I saw two Vizslas easily jump the fence by the watering hole, so it's definitely possible, and the gates headed to the watering hole have a bit of a gap under them where a small or very determined dog could sneak underneath. All in all a superb park and we will absolutely be back!"
"Lots of great open space for dogs to run. It has a trail that extended through the dog space and around the woods, creating about a 3 mile loop total. There were some smaller fenced in areas, but most people were roaming freely with their dogs off leash. There is a small lake with two access points for the dogs to play in, the water looked clean. Fantastic dog space, but a little pricey for a day visit. Definitely worth looking into an annual pass if you live close."
"First time visiting, won't be the last. Plenty of space for the pup to run around safely. Can get muddy, but not a problem!"
"GREAT dog park! Fenced water area if you don’t want your dog getting wet, plenty of trails through the prairie grasses and the woods, awesome park."
