"The staff is always busy, but they make sure they take care of all your needs"
"The Pharmacy Manager Nihar, who always makes sure to tell me who he is when I'm forced to speak to him, lies and mistreats customers -- I suspect mostly female customers, because last time, instead of answering my very reasonable question about my prescription, he acted like I hadn't asked anything, and then, when I got my Teacher Voice on to point out he wasn't answering my question, he went off on me that he didn't \"have to take this\" and \"I needed to be nicer to him.\" (I assure you, I was being nice, but he acted like I wasn't asking him a question about my medicine.)\n\nSo today, I have just hung up the phone with Darren at Caremark, who has called the River Forest pharmacy and talked to them to explain he (Darren) will need to transfer a mail order prescription to them, but first wants to make sure it's in stock. Darren tells me all I need to do is call the pharmacy and they'll take care of it.\n\nAs expected, this is not true. The tech who answers the phone, even after I explain the circumstances, is simply looking up in the system whether the medication is there (it isn't.) I ask to be transferred to the pharmacist, and I get Nihar. Nihar claims NO ONE has called from Caremark. I tell him that Darren, a Senior Rep from Caremark, just hung up, and Nihar tells me twice that it DIDN'T HAPPEN, and \"I'm the Pharmacy Manager, and I would know if someone called.\" He's clearly trying to get me off the phone and to stop bothering him, but does ask the techs if any of them took the call -- and one of the techs did. \Now the story from Nihar is that \"we don't do these transfers\" and \"I would have to call Caremark\" and \"that's not how this works.\" Finally, I'm allowed to explain that Caremark messed up a 90-day mail order prescription, so they need me to confirm with this CVS that I would like to have the prescription transferred to them, and then they call Darren and verify and it will be done. \n\nWell, it seems Nihar now does this thing. I ask for how much it would be (Darren told me $58) and Nihar says it will be $197.99. That is not an error. That is what the insurance is telling him. I ask Nihar to verify the insurance ID number, and he blazes through it so fast that he leaves out a number. I try to repeat it back, and he cuts me off. \"We have it. We have it.\" He doesn't want to hear that he left off a number and I want to verify. \n\nI decide I have wasted enough time with Nihar, confirm the prescription will be ready after 5pm, and then call back Darren at Caremark. I rely the conversation I just had with Nihar.\n\nAfter a pause, Darren says, \"That's not at all what happened.\" I ask Darren to document our conversation and the conversation he had with the pharmacy and the one he will have after we hang up where he confirms the price I'm supposed to pay. I had already told Darren about my problems with the CVS Pharmacy in River Forest, and specifically the problems with Pharmacist Manager Nihar, and how I had reported those problems MULTIPLE TIMES to CVS corporate -- but CVS corporate had never acted on the complaints. Ever. And this is why I refused to use CVS pharmacies.\n\nNow I am complaining again, to CVS, about a Pharmacy Manager who mistreats and lies to customers with his condescension and inaccuracies. I have dealt with him for years, and it seems he intentionally messes things up so he can lie about messing it up. He has neglected to cancel prescriptions that then prevented me from filling time-sensitive medication elsewhere, he has said he would order medication and it would arrive approximately by x date, only to later claim he would never say such a thing. He hangs up on customers if we take too much time asking basic questions. And through it all, he likes to tell you, over and over, that he is The Managing Pharmacist. \n\nHis power trip endangers your customers' health, and I can't understand why he's still working there, lying and condescending to everyone. I have proof now that it's not just me he does this with."
"Over all service is great, but would like to make my own decision of when to order a refill. Otherwise their cashiers are awesome and very helpful."
"My husband and I shop at CVS, at least 2-3 times a week. Sometimes more. Over time, I've become pretty friendly with most of the employees. It was a couple weeks ago.... I was checking out. I used my Food Stamp card to pay. The cashier looked at my receipt and then asked me if I would be interested in selling some of my food stamps. Then a time after that... I was checking out and the same cashier was talking to me about how her coworker was talking about me and an issue I had when checking out one day. I felt like they were very unprofessional."
"Sitting in car with bloody bandage over nose. Just left hospital. In pain. Wife goes into drive through. One hour wait. Wife: My husband just had surgery, he's in pain can it be done a little faster? Staff: I'll check with someone... Nope it's an hour. Very kind of them. Pretty sure all of those ahead of us weren't in pain and fresh out of surgery. Never again. Moving back to Walgreen's. They don't care. And they won't respond here either. tah dah."
