"Five stars for someone who deserves a million. I’ve been a patient of Katie’s for nearly 2.5 years and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help in her areas of specialization."
"Katie is without a doubt the best therapist I have been to. I have been seeing her for several years and always look forward to our time together. Her space is always safe and I feel that I can come as I am every time I enter our session. The growth I have experienced over the years has been astronomical. The techniques she has taught me have helped tremendously with coping and processing trauma. In times of high stress or anxiety I find myself thinking back on the tools she has provided me and they are very effective. Even if all I’m doing is sitting in the feeling. It’s hard for me to properly articulate the impact she has had on my life. I’m so grateful for her and consider our time together a true gift."
"I saw Katie Pendleton for several years, staring around 2017. For much of that time Katie was an excellent therapist that helped to guide me to a better place mentally. I came to feel, and was often told by Katie, that I was truly cared for and safe in her care. Together we tackled many issues that drastically improved my life. However, in 2019, after requesting to return to Katie's practice following a small monetary break, I was sent a fairly unceremonious text message informing me that I wouldn't be allowed to return. I was offered very little in way of an explanation. In her words she was "moving in a different direction" with her practice and was dropping me as a client. That was that. I struggle to find the words to express the amount of damage this did. Years of work, trust, and confidence were instantly tarnished. The person I'd spent so much money, time, and energy slowly learning to trust dropped me like it was nothing. Speaking frankly, I was left with an intense abandonment trauma. This is a trauma I still deal with today that continues to negatively impact my self esteem, my outlook on therapeutic experiences, and my relationships with therapists and caregivers. I was a sliding scale client at the time I was dropped. With nothing else to go on I can only assume the reason I was dropped was because my spot was better taken by someone who could pay full price. It still stings to think about. I have gone back and forth for years regarding whether or not to speak up about my experience. Now, under new guidance, I post this review to hold Katie accountable for what she did to me. While I acknowledge that Katie had every right to refuse me the service provided by her practice, the way in which I was refused, without any real explanation, was harmful, unprofessional, and cruel."
