"I am posting this review almost 5 years after my appointment with Rodriguez. He misdiagnosed me with type 2 bipolar, didn't want to treat my ADHD symptoms because he did not "believe" in stimulants and overall was not compassionate or welcoming. Instead, Rodriguez prescribed an anti-psychotic (abilify) and dismissed me without a second thought. After being correctly dx by a board certified psychiatrist, I was placed on an appropriate medication regimen & underwent 2 years of DBT. I am now stable and content. I often think of my experience with Rodriguez when I hear horror stories of patients being misdiagnosed and prescribed a medication regimen that doesn't even make sense by PMHNPs. Although Rodriguez has a Ph.D in nursing, you ought to do yourself a massive favor and seek help from a medical doctor, a psychiatrist. Perhaps he's improved or perhaps not. I wish you all the best."

"I did family therapy with him. I found him unprofessional and biased in his demeanor. What I didn’t know is that he is a registered nurse since he didn’t introduce himself. I’m afraid that can be misleading to patients as my relative addresses him as doctor. I had to do a research on him to find this out, and I’m afraid most people will not take the time to look up credentials."

"Dr. Rodriguez is an excellent psychologist and has helped me greatly with issues and medications. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He listens and gives great advise. The staff is also excellent and very friendly, helpful and follow up with you on appointments. Highly recommend and I will continue to see him. I am not sure why there are bad reviews, Dr. Rodriguez is great!"

"I have been a patient of Dr. Rodriguez for a few years and highly recommend him. I was referred by a physician and have had a great experience. He is very professional,caring and knowledgeable. Explains medications and answers any questions i may have. The staff are very nice and go out of their way to make sure i am reminded of my appointments ahead of time. I have made great progress with him and am very happy to recommend him to my family and anyone who may need experienced counsel. I also live a long way away so doing appointments via Skype is so helpful."

"I definitely do not recommend "Dr. Tom" for medication management. He ordered significant changes in medication without notice or medical supervision. Although I did not see him for counseling, he displays a lack of consideration and compassion in his manner so I advise caution in this regard as well. Finally, he does not communicate via email - something I discovered only after his staff ignored and did not forward an important email communication. An all around inconvenient, unpleasant, and potentially dangerous experience."
